About the event

Each year during the first weekend in May, people gather in the streets of downtown Conway for Toad Suck Daze. The free-admission, family festival has something for all ages: local and national musical entertainment, retail vendors and arts and crafts booths, carnival rides, children’s activities, and of course, the World Championship Toad Races starring our amphibious friends.

About the application

Be a part of making it all happen! Set-up volunteers help to get the festival ready for attendees. These volunteers are literally the backbone of the festival. Depending on the shift, volunteers may help to deliver tables and chairs, put up tents, unload vehicles, and more. This role requires heavy lifting and at times, walking the festival grounds. Set-up volunteers must be able to lift and carry heavy items. Depending on the shift, volunteers will check in either at the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce (900 Oak Street) or at the volunteer check-in booth before reporting to their volunteer location.

message During this shift, volunteers will help load items in storage and unload them at the festival. Depending on what area they work with, they may also put out tables and chairs or organized and set-up the Toad Dome.

message Depending on need, volunteers will help with several different areas during this shift and may move from area to area depending on need. Things they may end up doing are: Set-up and organize Toadal Kids Zone, Help put out signage and tents, and help retail vendors unload and set-up their booths.
