Game and Geek Expo - Volunteer Terms and Conditions
1. Volunteer Role and Responsibilities:
Volunteers agree to perform assigned duties as directed by Game and Geek Expo staff.
Volunteers are expected to represent the Game and Geek Expo in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Volunteers must adhere to all event rules and regulations, including those related to attendee conduct and safety.
Volunteers will arrive on time for scheduled shifts and remain for the duration of their assigned duties.
Volunteers will maintain confidentiality regarding event information and attendee details.
2. Volunteer Benefits:
Volunteers will receive Free entry to the event during non-shift hours, a volunteer t-shirt, crew room access, food provided.
Benefits are subject to change at the discretion of the Game and Geek Expo organizers.
3. Code of Conduct:
Volunteers will treat all attendees, vendors, staff, and fellow volunteers with respect and courtesy.
Harassment, discrimination, or any form of inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
Volunteers must refrain from using alcohol or illegal substances while on duty.
Volunteers must not engage in any activity that could endanger themselves or others.
Volunteers are not allowed to be vendors during their shift.
Volunteers are not allowed to solicit for business during their shift.
4. Liability and Release:
Volunteers participate at their own risk.
Volunteers release the Game and Geek Expo organizers, its staff, and volunteers from any liability for personal injury, loss, or damage incurred during their volunteer service.
Volunteers are responsible for their personal belongings.
5. Scheduling and Attendance:
Volunteers must adhere to their assigned shift schedule.
Notification of any scheduling conflicts or absences must be provided to the volunteer coordinator as soon as possible.
Failure to fulfill scheduled shifts may result in the forfeiture of volunteer benefits.
6. Media and Photography:
Volunteers may be photographed or recorded during the event.
Volunteers grant the Game and Geek Expo organizers the right to use these images or recordings for promotional purposes.
7. Termination:
The Game and Geek Expo organizers reserve the right to terminate a volunteer's service at any time for violation of these terms and conditions or for any other reason deemed necessary.
8. Agreement:
By volunteering for the Game and Geek Expo, volunteers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
Volunteers will follow all directions given by the volunteer coordinator and event staff.
9. Changes to Terms and Conditions:
The Game and Geek Expo organizers reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Volunteers will be notified of any changes.
