Board Member Position Description
Your Role in the Con Nooga Legacy
As a Con Nooga Board Member, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of the convention. Your time, energy, and leadership help keep Con Nooga fresh, exciting, and unforgettable. This position requires dedication, quick thinking, and a proactive approach to ensure the convention’s continued success.
What’s Expected of You?
Board Meetings
✅ Attend monthly board meetings (switching to weekly as Con Nooga approaches).
✅ Be an active participant in discussions and decisions.
✅ Stay connected through our engaged online and social media presence.
Public Events & Promotions
✅ Help represent Con Nooga by attending or assisting with at least two public events (such as conventions, festivals, or galas).
✅ Spend some time at the Con Nooga promo booth (at least three times a year). Live outside Chattanooga? We have alternative options for you!
Cross-Training & Event Oversight
✅ Get hands-on experience in multiple departments to understand how Con Nooga operates.
✅ Take charge of specific tasks, tracks, events, or logistics to help ensure a seamless convention experience.

? June 29th (Virtual) – Sunday @ 2 PM
? July 26th (Virtual) – Saturday @ 11 AM
? September 7th (In-Person & Virtual) – Sunday @ 2 PM (Dread Hollow, Chattanooga)
? November 5th (Virtual) – Wednesday @ 7 PM
? December 6th (In-Person & Virtual) – Sunday @ 2 PM (Dread Hollow, Chattanooga)
? January 7th, 2026 (Virtual) – Wednesday @ 7 PM
? February 9th, 2026 (Virtual) – Monday @ 7 PM
? Board Meetings will be scheduled once the 2026 Board is finalized. Most will take place before or after Staff/Volunteer meetings.
