About the event

Celebrating community through music on the porches of Virginia Highland! Kick-start the day with our Rock n Relay at 10:30am. Then, enjoy some of the best local bands and musicians in town on the lovely porches around the neighborhood from 11 am to 6 pm with additional bands playing in the business district after 6 pm.

About the application

Virginia Highland Porchfest is BACK for its 5th year on May 17, 2025! Please check out the available volunteer opportunities. We appreciate you helping us bring this event together once again! All volunteers will receive an exclusive Porchfest t-shirt and a free drink ticket from concessions. Want MORE free drinks? - Sign up for a second (non-overlapping) shift and get an additional free drink ticket plus a limited edition tote bag and koozie. - Refer a friend! If you invite a friend to sign up for a shift (AND they show up), you will get an extra drink ticket! QUALIFICATIONS: They cannot have volunteered for Virginia Highland District events in the past and you MUST confirm your referral upon their shift confirmation to qualify. Need community service hours? We're happy to complete your form; please bring it with you for a signature at the end of your shift or email to events@virginiahighlanddistrict.com.

Terms & Conditions

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your shift and stay for the scheduled duration. Volunteers are required to attend a 1-hr meeting (virtual) on Monday, May 12 at 7 pm in order to become acquainted with the event details.
