About the application

Be part of the Opening Spectacle for FusionFest's 7th annual multicultural festival by carrying a flag as directed. Wear ethnic or heritage clothing, a FusionFest T-shirt, or anything colorful. Sign up for the flag of your choice or for the general "Flag Carrier" to proudly display any flag assigned to you. Remember we are "ALL FOR EACH OTHER"!

Terms & Conditions

There is only one person per flag and each flag represents the heritage of a Central Floridian- a country, a US state, or even an affinity group representing a place where a resident or their ancestors came from or that shaped their cultural lifestyle. Following instructions to unwind flags and to properly rewind them at the end, is required. If you are unable to make it, make sure that you get someone to replace you or call Terry at 407-491-4663. New citizens from a number of countries will be sworn in. We want to make sure that the flags representing their former nations will be part of the Spectacle. We view flags as representative of culture. They are not a political endorsement of current or past governmental actions, but represent the choices of food, clothing, traditions, etc. that were part of the lives of Central Floridians before they moved here. The past is always part of who we are in the present, even as we make choices to live the life we chose.
