The Valley Junction Farmers Market is home to over 80 weekly vendors selling fresh produce, baked goods, plants and flowers, arts and crafts, and prepared foods. Join your friends and neighbors in West Des Moines' favorite summer gathering. Special performances events are scheduled throughout the season.

About the application

Help answer questions during Farmers Market in Valley Junction. Volunteers attend the market from 4-8 PM and walk the market in the 100-300 blocks getting to know where the vendors and other services are located like bathrooms and ATM's. You will be provided a shirt that says, "ASK ME", and given a short training on how to access vendor and brick & mortar shop information to help people navigate the busy sidewalks during the market. This shift starts with a walk through the whole market at 4pm taking attendance of the vendors. After that you are free to go anywhere in the market as long as you are visible and able to interact with the public. You will either be texted a link to map and faq.
