About the application

Our mission is simple: to provide a free, family-friendly, multi-genre, live music event to support local artisans, businesses and musicians while bringing people together through music. Whether you're a music enthusiast or just someone eager to contribute to an exciting community event, as a volunteer you'll play a crucial role in bringing the festival to life and ensuring its success. There are many opportunities, from greeting guests to assisting with setup and everything in between. No matter your skill set or availability, there's a spot for you! VOLUNTEER POSITIONS ARE: Greeter Alcohol Monitor Recycle and Trash ID Attendant Set-up & Tear Down Festival tent, retail RECYCLE & TRASH TEAM - KNOW BEFORE YOU GO This is a critically important position. One because everyone enjoys a clean park and two, we recycle! You'll help keep the festival clean by removing & replacing bags in trash & recycle receptacles. Cans & bottles collected during a shift(s) can be retained by the volunteer to redeem for Bottle Drop. This a great job for families or teenagers trying to earn some summer spending money. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Terms & Conditions

All volunteers receive a coveted Sherwood Music Festival t-shirt, bottled water and a meal ticket upon check in. CHECK IN TIME is 30 minutes before the shift begins. This gives you time to change your into your festival t-shirt (if you'd like) and be at your assigned spot to relieve your fellow team member on time. This is a rain or shine event so come prepared! Regardless of weather, we ask for your commitment to your shift and prompt notification via text if an emergency arises.

message PLEASE ARRIVE PROMPTLY AT 4:30 FOR YOUR SHIFT to check in at the Information Booth on the lower lawn. There you'll receive your festival t-shirt, water bottle and meal ticket. It may not be glamourous, but this is one of the most vital roles to fill! To help keep the event site clean, we bring in extra trash & recycle receptacles to place around the park. You'll work in pairs, one on the upper lawn and one on the lower, to remove and replace bags. Trash will go in an on-site dumpster and the recycle bags nearby. We supply gloves, bags, ties and a wagon for easy transport to the dumpster. At the end of your shift, volunteers are welcome to take home the recycle bags for Bottle Drop redemption.
SATURDAY Shift #1: Recycle and Trash Stella Olsen Park, Sherwood, OR Jul 27, 2024 12:00 pm - 10:30 pm 0 11

Trash will go in an on-site dumpster and the recycle bags nearby. We supply gloves, bags, ties and a wagon for easy transport to the dumpster. At the end of your shift, volunteers are welcome to take home the recycle bags for Bottle Drop redemption.
