About the event

The Greensboro Pride Festival is the headlining event for Alternative Resources of the Triad, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. In 2023, the festival drew more than 45,000 attendees, nearly 200 vendors, and 50+ performances along South Elm Street in Downtown Greensboro.

About the application

Help Alternative Resources of the Triad put on our annual Greensboro Pride Festival! You must agree to attend an in-person volunteer meeting. For all shifts: -Arrive 30 minutes before your assigned shift -Work your full shift in its entirety -Alert the Volunteer Coordinator(s) if you are unable to meet your shift requirements -Sign in at Greensboro Pride Booth, unless otherwise stated -PLEASE NOTE: Shift duties are subject to change as needed by the festival organizers **PLEASE TAKE THE CROWD MANAGER TRAINING COURSE AT https://www.ncosfm.gov/licensing-cert/pyrotechnics/classes-pyrotechnic-license-fusing-crowd-manager. Send certificates of completion to hannah@greensboropride.org

By signing up, you agree to the following: You will be considered a representative of Greensboro Pride during the day of the festival. You will not engage in lewd or unlawful behavior while volunteering with Greensboro Pride. You will not engage with protestors. You will be helpful and friendly to both patrons and vendors during the day of the festival. *All volunteers will receive a volunteer t-shirt upon arrival for their shift(s).* **ALL MINORS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AND CANNOT VOLUNTEER ON THEIR OWN**

You will work with other volunteers to properly measure vendor spaces and clearly label each space per the Vendor Spreadsheet. We will provide you with the necessary equipment to complete this task. Once completed, you may be asked to assist in other areas if time allows and you are willing.
Direct Vendor Traffic	Meet at the corner of Washing and Elm Street	Sep 22, 2024 7:00 am - 10:00 am	3	3
Volunteers will be provided a Vendor Spreadsheet and a map of the vendor footprint. You will be asked to provide directions to vendors on space access, and provide parking instructions. All necessary items to complete this task will be provided to you.
Vendor Check-In	Meet at the corner of Washington and Elm Street	Sep 22, 2024 7:00 am - 10:00 am	0	3
Volunteers will be responsible for checking in each vendor that arrives at one of the three entrances. You will be provided all necessary items and information to complete this task.
Tables, Chairs, and Bike Rack Coordinators	Meet at the corner of Washington and Elm Street	Sep 22, 2024 8:00 am - 11:00 am	1	3
Volunteers will be provided a spreadsheet of vendors that have an approved number of tables and chairs. You will be asked to verify the vendor, provide them the tables and chairs, and assist them in bringing them to their vendor space if needed. Volunteers will also be tasked with setting up the bike racks for the event. You will be provided all necessary items to complete this task.
Runner/Checker First Shift	Meet at the corner of Washington and Elm Street	Sep 22, 2024 11:00 am - 2:00 pm	5	3
Volunteers will be responsible for roving specified areas of the footprint to check in on vendors to ensure they have everything they need. As a runner/checker you may also be asked to assist in other areas that Pride may need assistance with.
Entertainment Assistance First Shift	Meet at the corner of Washington and Elm	Sep 22, 2024 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm	0	3
Volunteers will be asked to assist our Entertainment Coordinator in any aspects necessary to ensure the performances at our stages run smoothly. Volunteers may also be asked to check people in for Meet and Greets with the Drag Queens.

Volunteers will be responsible for roving specified areas of the footprint to check in on vendors to ensure they have everything they need. As a runner/checker you may also be asked to assist in other areas that Pride may need assistance with.

Walking the footprint, picking up trash wherever you see it. Making sure the streets are clean.

Volunteers will be asked to assist vendors in breaking down their space and checking in all necessary equipment that was borrowed by said vendors. Volunteers may also be asked to help pack up the Pride Uhaul as needed.
