About the event

The Long Island Retro Gaming Expo, home to New York’s premier video game convention, returns to the historic Cradle of Aviation Museum August 9-11, 2024! Show Hours: Friday 4pm - 10pm (Marketplace closes at 8pm) Saturday 10am - 10pm (Marketplace closes at 7pm) Sunday 10am - 5pm Experience over 50 years of video game history across three exciting days.

About the application

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Long Island Retro Gaming Expo! We are always in need of volunteers for our flagship convention and other gaming events throughout the year. To become a volunteer of the Expo, fill out the following form and a member of our volunteer coordination team will contact you. You must be 18 years of age to volunteer.

Terms & Conditions

Water, snacks, and meals will be provided to all volunteers. In addition, all volunteers will be getting free admission to the Expo for themselves and a guest, a staff t-shirt and an invite to the Volunteer Appreciation BBQ scheduled in late August after the Expo. Volunteers also get a discount on Expo merchandise. The Expo will host a mandatory information & training meeting for all volunteers. Two meeting times options will be offered. All volunteers MUST practice good hygiene. The Long Island Retro Gaming Expo reserves the right to decline applications. The Expo assigns volunteer positions based on the requirements of the event. Every effort will be made to place each volunteer in the area requested. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. This event will require extensive standing for all roles unless specified. Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the venue. In order to ensure a safe environment for the attendees, all volunteer applicants will be subject to a public records search.
