About the event

We’re making preparations for the City of Johns Creek’s Holly Jolly Block Party and we want YOU to be a part of the event decor committee! As a volunteer committee member, you will assist with decorating the City Hall parking lot into a Winter Wonderland by creating a magical holiday environment for Santa and the llamas and holiday touches throughout the event!

About the application

The Holly Jolly Block Party is a celebration for the whole family and marks the start of the winter holiday season. Join us for an evening of fun and festivities! It is on December 2, 2023, 4pm-8pm. The event will feature: • The lighting of the 40-foot City Christmas tree • Holiday market and displays • Santa Claus • Elf Zone (games & activities) • Live musical performances • Food trucks • Live llamas • College football on TVs This committee will meet in person several times up to the event date until the vision is complete! There may be building, painting, crafting and more! City Staff will make decisions for the event decor based on the recommendations received from the Committee. The kick-off meeting will be held on November 6, 2023 at 6pm at Cauley Creek Park. We will brainstorm, plan, and execute turning the City Hall Parking Lot into a festive winter wonderland. There will a time commitment to this involvement, and we welcome all levels of skill, tools, and creativity!

Terms & Conditions

All Johns Creek Event Planning Committee members must be residents of the City of Johns Creek. City’s Responsibilities: • City Staff will track the budget and approve all spending. • All purchases will be made by City Staff. • All invoices will go through City Staff.
