About the event

Celebrate! West Hartford (CWH) is an annual, family-oriented two-day community festival which attracts nearly 40,000 guests to the grounds of Town Hall. Event highlights include over 120 sponsor and non-profit exhibitors, an award-winning arts and crafts festival featuring 150 artists from across the Northeast, an international food court, live music performances from renowned local performers and West Hartford students, carnival games and rides, and a 5K FUNd Run & Kids' K Dash!

About the application

A beloved community tradition, the Celebrate! West Hartford festival has relied on volunteers since 1987. Nearly 1,000 volunteer hours are needed to run the event. Your involvement is important, and it's a great way to fulfill Community Service requirements! On Friday afternoon and early Saturday morning, we need help with setup. Once the festival starts, help is needed in the Dining Tent on Saturday and Sunday during festival hours. On Sunday morning we need help with the FUNd RUNS including setup, course monitors, reception setup, and more. It all takes place on Town Hall Grounds, 50 South Main Street, West Hartford, CT

VOLUNTEER SHIFT CANCELLATIONS OR CHANGES If you need to change or cancel your volunteer commitment, please email CelebrateVolunteers@WestHartfordCT.gov or call 860-561-7512 as soon as possible. All of our volunteers are critical to the smooth running of the event, so we rely on your dependability. DRESS CODE - We will give you a short sleeved, red T-shirt to wear while you work with the Celebrate! logo on the front and "STAFF" on the back. Please don't alter the shirt in any way. - You may wear shorts or long pants with it. Please be neat in your appearance and leave garments with holes in them at home. - Closed-toed shoes are a must! Please, no sandals, flip flops, etc.
