About the event

The first Columbus PRIDE march in 1981 was just around 200 people; today the Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival and March welcome over 700,000 visitors to Columbus and the Central Ohio region. For 42 years Stonewall Columbus has served the Central Ohio community working to uplift LGBTQIA+ identities. Stonewall’s annual PRIDE Festival and March serve as the organization’s largest annual fundraiser that secures the needed funds to support Stonewall’s community programs and annual operations.

About the application

We are so excited to have you with us for Stonewall Columbus Pride 2023. Volunteers are the foundation of Stonewall Columbus Pride 2023 and we were severely understaffed in 2022, so we are especially grateful to have your help this year. Volunteer shifts do overlap 30 minutes, please feel free to sign up for as many shifts as you like even though they overlap.

Volunteer shifts do overlap 30 minutes, please feel free to signup for as many shifts as you like even though they overlap. Volunteer shift preference will be taken into account when scheduling, but shift changes may happen due to attendance and demand of the weekend. There will be additional communication prior to June 16th/17th instructing you where to check-in for your shift and volunteer leads will provide more information upon your arrival the day-of as to your specific duties and assignments for your shift. The weekend of Pride is generally very hot and the safety and well-being of our volunteers is our utmost priority. Please communicate very clearly any accommodations you will need for your shift and during your shift if you should ever need a break. As a small token of our appreciation, volunteers will receive one drink ticket (non-alcoholic/alcoholic included), a volunteer t-shirt, snacks and water during volunteer hours. Volunteers will be required to wear their volunteer t-shirt during their shift so they can be easily identified. Please dress accordingly for the weather and wear protective shoes, SPF, hats, sunglasses, etc. There is minimal space to store volunteer items so please be prepared to leave anything you do not need at home. Every volunteer is required to sign the liability waiver located at the end of this form. I am aware of the terms and conditions of this agreement and am signing this agreement of my own free will. Further, by signing this agreement I attest to the fact that I am eighteen years of age or older. I expressly agree that this Agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Ohio in the United States of America and that this Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio.
