About the event

The San Antonio Book Festival celebrates national and local authors and their contributions to the culture of literacy, ideas, and imagination. The free, daylong event is a gift to visitors and the citizens of San Antonio, bringing books to life through author presentations, innovative panel discussions, and book sales and signings. Also included in this fun day of literary entertainment are family activities such as children’s theater performances, a technology area, interactive play and art stations, and a selection of the city’s famous food trucks. SABF generates more than $1 million for the city’s economy.

About the application

Volunteers will help in the media room to assist our on-site media. Volunteers for the media room must be 18 or over. Please plan to arrive at Volunteer Check-In at the corner of Augusta and Navarro about 20 minutes before your scheduled shift. This will give you time to pick up and change into your volunteer t-shirt and find your venue. Thank you for joining us!

  • Waiver Signature - To sign the waiver, scroll down on the right-hand side of the page and click on SABF -WAIVERS Volunteers in the "Related Files" box. Type your name and date on the appropriate lines. Do not fill out the AUTHORIZED SIGNATURE or RELATIONSHIP TO VOLUNTEER blanks unless you are under the age of 18. Click on the computer disc icon at the top right of the document and save to your desktop as SABF Waiver. Go back to the application and click on "Choose File," and select your saved SABF Waiver from your desktop.
