Located at the Epicurean Atlanta Hotel’s sought-after roof-top location overlooking downtown Atlanta is sure to be THE tasting event of the year. At this event, you'll: *Sample all the incredible food, beverage and entertainment offerings. *Taste unlimited delicious bites from Atlanta’s best restaurants *Discover new restaurants and revisit the many neighborhood favorites *Sample dozens of cool cocktails, wines and beers *Meet the chefs up close and personal *Enjoy special entertainment throughout the event Important Information: Must be 21 or older with valid ID No refunds/No exchanges Grand Tasting is a rain or shine event

About the application

Thanks for your interest in volunteering at the 2022 Grand Tasting event at the Epicurean Atlanta Hotel on October 20, 2022. Below are some details about the festival and volunteering with us. ***Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to participate OR be enrolled in an approved high school culinary program that has been selected to partner with the festival. Fans of fabulous food and drink can indulge their appetites for both at Taste of Atlanta’s Grand Tasting—an all-new signature tasting event featuring Atlanta’s best restaurants on Thursday, Oct. 20. The Epicurean Atlanta Hotel, an impressive new food-focused destination in Midtown, will serve as the backdrop for the tasting experience. Eat, drink, be merry and enjoy the all-star lineup of local chefs, top restaurants, beer, wine and spirits brands—with a variety of all-you-can-eat bites, an abundance of unlimited beer, wine, and cocktail tasting options, along with culinary theatre programming and live entertainment throughout the evening. Grand Tasting benefits two charity partners, Giving Kitchen and Second Helpings Atlanta, bringing together both community and entertainment for a cause. **Volunteers for this event will receive an event apron along with other great perks (see full list below). Volunteers 16 and up, please. ** Minors will need to have a parent/guardian sign a waiver. Volunteers are the key to making this event a success. We are seeking qualified and enthusiastic volunteers to serve and help us bring this great event to back to the luxurious Epicurean Hotel Atlanta for the first time. Our VIP tasting events are an excellent opportunity to meet people from your community as well as from surrounding areas. Each volunteer should be able to commit to a five-hour shift. As a volunteer, you will receive the following: • A volunteer swag bag • One (1) Ticket to attend the event IF you are working the daytime shift (for volunteers 21 and older) • Volunteers working the event will find extra items in their swag bag in lieu of being able to attend + opportunity to enjoy bites from participating chefs/restaurants. • Branded volunteer apron • Complimentary Self-parking in adjacent deck • Thank you letter • Lots of water Shifts & Assignments: Exact duties will be assigned once you check in for your shift. You will be assigned based on event needs at that time. You will not receive an assignment before arriving, just a confirmation for the shift time you selected (if available). Grand Tasting is an busy food festival – please be aware that there will be lots of standing and in some cases walking around the festival for most of the assignments, some areas may require lifting/moving of festival supplies. Lots of smiling and a helpful attitude a must! :-) Volunteer Assignments will include: · Event Setup · Floaters · Ticketing/Check in · Chef’s Assistants · Culinary Theatre demo support · General Event Support Volunteer Shifts Volunteers are needed on Thursday, October 20 from 2:00-7:00PM and from 5:30PM to 10:30PM. Please select which shift you are available to work (you may select both shifts, you will be placed where there is availability) During your shift, you may be asked to change assignments and/or locations. We ask that you remain flexible and patient! Please note that even if you sign up with a friend, you may be needed in different areas and may not necessarily "work together" during the event. The following liability waiver and rules statement must be signed before a volunteer can be approved. I understand and acknowledge that my participation in any of the Taste Around Town/Food That Rocks/Taste of Atlanta activities is completely voluntary. I understand that submission of an application is not a guarantee that I will be confirmed as a volunteer for the event. I also understand that the Volunteer Manager will determine the activities in which I will participate, based upon the shift times that I have chosen to work. In consideration of acceptance of this entry, I waive any and all claims for myself and my heirs against Taste of Atlanta, their respective officers, directors, attorneys, successors and assigns, and all person or entities acting by or through them, including sponsors, vendors and restaurants, from any and all actions, causes of actions, suits, debts, dues, sums of money, accounts, damages, judgments, demands, injuries (to both person and property), hurt or loss whatsoever, in law or in equity, whether known or unknown, whether asserted or unasserted, at Taste of Atlanta for any injury or illness which may directly or indirectly result from my participation. I further state that I am in proper physical condition to participate in this event. 1. Photographic Release. Volunteer does hereby grant and convey unto Taste of Atlanta all rights, title, and interest in any and all photographic images and video or audio recordings made by Taste of Atlanta or authorized by Taste of Atlanta during Volunteer’s activities with Taste of Atlanta, including but not limited to, any royalties, proceeds, or other benefits derived from such photographs or recordings. 2. Prohibited Activities. Neither consumption of alcohol, tobacco products or illegal drugs, nor is possession of a firearm permitted while the Volunteer is participating at Taste of Atlanta.
