About the event

Come together as a community to celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights! The celebratory event takes place at Shakerag Park on Saturday Oct. 22 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. The event will feature a large stage with a DJ and performers along with a variety of food and retail vendors. There will be a special fireworks celebration beginning around 7:45 p.m. The entire community is invited to help celebrate the symbolic meaning of Diwali, a “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.” This family-friendly festival is the first city and community organized Diwali event in the state of Georgia and embraces the cultural diversity of our Johns Creek community.

About the application

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Johns Creek Diwali Festival. Please complete and submit this application to volunteer at the festival. There are many ways to be involved with the festival, from set-up to tear-down. You can work with Stage Management, Vendor Management, Parking, or wherever needed!

Terms & Conditions

A signed waiver must be submitted to the City of Johns Creek prior to the date of the event. Please email it to stacey.gross@johnscreekga.gov.
