About the event

Friday night Crank-In 5PM-9PM Vendors open Saturday, 10AM-5PM and Sunday, 10AM-4PM Come celebrate the many facets of fiber the last full weekend of September. The festival is filled with opportunities and events focusing on all aspects of fiber and more! Classes on many different ways to use fiber will be offered. We will also have demonstrations, competitions, festival memorabilia, fleeces for sale, and more. Our vendors offer yarns, various raw and finished fibers, the animals they come from, buttons to spinning and weaving equipment, rugs and purses to hats and sweaters, jewelry, art, pottery, and many other lovely items! With the assistance of an Experienced Juror, evaluate a wide variety of fleeces, learn what recommended uses are and how they are determined, and what methods may be best for different fleeces. No experience required; only a love of fiber and a willingness to learn. Detailed instructions and recommended comments will be provided to all Beginning Jurors for review prior to the fleece sale. (Beginning Jurors may also assist with Online Sale Preparation, as described below.)

Evaluate fleeces according to established process and guidelines, documenting evaluation notes and recommended uses/ comments for purchaser and producer use. Detailed instructions and recommended comments will be provided to all Experienced Jurors for review prior to the fleece sale. (Experienced Jurors may also assist with Online Sale Preparation, as described below.)
