About the event

Suwanee Fest 2022 will be held in Suwanee's beautiful Town Center Park on September 17 and 18. The days will be filled with family fun including food, vendors, crafters, entertainment and more! The planning committee is hard at work making sure the festival is safe and will follow all guidelines for attendee and exhibitor safety.

About the application

We are so excited you'll be volunteering for Suwanee Fest this year! Minimum age to volunteer solo is high-school aged teens (minimum age 14), although we can accept middle school age who volunteer alongside a parent. Please see the available shifts and descriptions below. Suwanee Fest would not be possible without all our great volunteers! VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTIONS: Beautification Team = Help keep Town Center Park beautiful! Empty trash and recycling; pick up litter. **Gloves provided.** Entertainment Assistance = Help manage the reserved parking spots for festival entertainers. Family Fun Zone = You'll be working with kids and families in our Fun Zone in front of the businesses along Town Center Ave. Floaters = Volunteer where needed. Parade = Help with parade line-up, management, directing participants. Report to the location specified. Shuttle Stop = Help direct guests to the right bus. Report to City Hall volunteer tent; then you'll be working at the Shuttle Stop behind Ippolito's. (Road Block location volunteers will be working at the shuttle stop at the corner of Buford Highway and Suwanee Dam Road.) Vendor Assistance = Help with loading vendors into the park, out of the park, and vendor appreciation! Will involve carrying, lifting, walking. Escorts = Guide parade participants to their lineup positions. Brand Activation = Help pass out samples from our sponsors along the parade route and during the festival! Mascot Handlers: Assist Suwanee’s mascot, Parker, at the parade and around the festival! Set-up Assistance = Help us get ready for Suwanee Fest on Friday by setting up tables, chairs, tents and more! All volunteers should report to the Volunteer Tent in front of City Hall at least 10 minutes before your shift begins. Remember, there will be no parking at Town Center Park on the weekend of the festival so please plan accordingly to ensure an on-time arrival. Take advantage of our free air-conditioned shuttles! All minors (under 18) MUST have a parent or guardian sign the below waiver. You cannot work without it. Paper copies must be brought with you to check-in. Under Georgia law, there is no liability for an injury or death of an individual entering these premises if such injury or death results from the inherent risks of contracting COVID-19. You are assuming this risk by entering these premises. The City of Suwanee cannot guarantee that you or anyone in your party will not become infected with COVID-19. Individuals who have been diagnosed with COVID -19, have exhibited symptoms, or who have had contact with a person who has or is suspected to have COVID-19 within the past 14 days, should not attend the event.
