Ball people must be able to keep score, have good eye/hand coordination, be able to move quickly and stay focused.
New ball person candidates must attend tryouts. Our tryout dates are:
April 26th at Falls of Autry Mill Tennis Courts (9825 Autry Falls Dr, Alpharetta, GA 30022)
or
April 28th at Bitsy Grant Tennis Center (2125 Northside Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30305)
Both tryouts will be 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Uniform fittings will take place during this time as well.
All Ball Persons must be able to work at the Peach State semi finals and finals on May 30th. They will also be working the Atlanta Open wild card semi finals and finals to prepare for the main tournament.
Ball Persons are required to work a minimum of 4 shifts.
Ball Persons will receive two tournament shirts & shorts. They will also receive food & refreshments during their shifts.
You will need to provide a photo, similar to a passport photo, for tournament credentials. Your photo must have been:
• Taken within the last 6 months to reflect your current appearance.
• Taken in front of a plain white or off-white background.
• Taken in full-face view directly facing the camera.
After you sign up, you will receive an email confirming your registration.
Times are subject to change, but you will be notified of any schedule changes.
Before the tournament, we will have a mandatory orientation on July 16th where you will receive you 2 tournament shirts, credentials and information on where to park and report to during the tournament.
Please give yourself plenty of time (at least 15 min) to park prior to the start of your shift.
When you arrive for your scheduled shift, please report to Volunteer Services to check in. Your team leader (s) will assist you with where to go and answer any questions.
