The Fatui Tea Party – Cosplay Actor Terms & Conditions
ShokoCon 2027 | June 11–13, 2027 | Waterford, Michigan
By applying to participate as a cosplay actor for The Fatui Tea Party at ShokoCon 2027, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. ShokoCon Policies
I agree to abide by all ShokoCon rules, policies, codes of conduct, volunteer guidelines, and terms and conditions throughout the convention and all related event activities. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event or other consequences in accordance with ShokoCon policies.
2. Additional Volunteer Hours and Weekend Badge Compensation
In addition to completing all required setup and teardown responsibilities for The Fatui Tea Party, I must complete six (6) additional working volunteer hours with another ShokoCon department or event during the convention weekend to qualify for a compensated weekend badge. These hours are separate from all duties associated with The Fatui Tea Party and must be completed and verified in accordance with ShokoCon volunteer policies.
I understand that failure to complete all six (6) additional volunteer hours may result in forfeiture of eligibility for the compensated weekend badge. Acceptance into The Fatui Tea Party cast does not automatically guarantee a compensated weekend badge. Eligibility is contingent upon fulfilling all applicable participation and volunteer requirements.
If I am unable to complete my required hours due to illness, an emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances, I must notify the event organizers as soon as possible. Any exceptions or alternative arrangements are subject to approval by the event organizers and ShokoCon, in accordance with applicable convention policies.
3. Rehearsals and Meetings
I agree to attend a minimum of five (5) online rehearsals/meetings or, for approved local participants, a minimum of two (2) in-person rehearsals. I am also expected to attend the Thursday, June 10, 2027, pre-event briefing, if able, to review final details, event expectations, and the scheduled setup start time.
I understand that rehearsal schedules, meeting links, locations, and additional preparation instructions will be communicated through the designated channels. I agree to communicate any scheduling conflicts or anticipated absences to the event organizers as early as possible.
4. Event Setup and Teardown
I agree to participate in the required setup and teardown activities for The Fatui Tea Party, including the scheduled teardown on Sunday, June 13, 2027. I understand that setup and teardown responsibilities are mandatory and are separate from my six (6) additional volunteer hours.
I agree to follow the instructions provided by the event organizers and assist with my assigned responsibilities to the best of my ability.
5. Cosplay Completion and Progress Updates
I agree to provide regular updates on the progress and completion of my assigned character cosplay as requested by the event organizers. These updates may include the status of my costume, wig, accessories, props, and other required character elements.
I will communicate any delays, concerns, or circumstances that may affect my ability to have my cosplay ready for the event. All costumes, props, and accessories must comply with applicable ShokoCon rules and safety requirements.
6. Communication and Professional Conduct
I agree to maintain respectful, timely, and constructive communication with the event organizers, fellow cast members, volunteers, convention staff, and attendees. I will monitor the designated communication channels for important announcements, schedule changes, and event information.
I agree to notify the organizers as early as possible regarding absences, delays, emergencies, or other circumstances that may affect my participation. I will conduct myself respectfully and follow reasonable event-related instructions from the organizers and authorized ShokoCon personnel.
7. Participation and Accountability
I understand that acceptance into The Fatui Tea Party cast is contingent upon meeting the event's participation requirements. I agree to fulfill my assigned responsibilities, attend the required rehearsals and meetings, complete my volunteer hours, provide cosplay progress updates, and participate in the required setup and teardown activities.
Failure to fulfill these requirements may affect my continued participation in the event and my eligibility for the compensated weekend badge, subject to applicable ShokoCon policies and any approved exceptions. I agree to notify the organizers promptly if I am unable to fulfill any of my commitments.
8. Application Acknowledgment
By submitting this application, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions. I understand that submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into The Fatui Tea Party cast and that participation requires a commitment to the responsibilities outlined above.
I acknowledge that the compensated weekend badge is conditional upon fulfilling the applicable participation and volunteer requirements, including the completion of six (6) additional working volunteer hours, and that failure to meet these requirements may result in the loss of eligibility for the compensated weekend badge in accordance with ShokoCon policies.
