About the event

Rev up for one of Taylor’s favorite downtown traditions! The Main Street Car Show brings classic cars, trucks, and automotive enthusiasts to the heart of downtown for a day of beautiful rides, community, and fun. This year, the event gets a Spooktacular Twist with free Trick-or-Treating in Heritage Square from 10 AM–12 PM. Come check out the cars, enjoy downtown businesses, and celebrate the season with a fun-filled day in downtown Taylor!

About the application

Thank you so much for your interest in being part of the Main Street Car Show! The Car Show happens in Taylor, Texas at Heritage Square on October 31st! Please give us some information on when you are available to volunteer/what skills you'd like to utilize day of, and give us your T-shirts size for your Pit Crew Shirt Have questions? Terms & Conditions

I hereby release and agree to not hold liable the City of Taylor (COT), its officers, agents, and employees from any and all claims of any kind arising from my service as a volunteer and due to the ordinary negligence of the City. I further agree to the following: 1. I acknowledge that I am a volunteer for the COT and have no expectations of compensation. I understand that the COT may, at any time, for whatever reason, make changes in my assignment or terminate my volunteer assignment with the COT. I understand that I may decide to sever my volunteer relationship with the COT at any time, and notice of such a decision must be communicated in writing as soon as possible to my supervisor. 2. I understand and agree as a volunteer that this Release discharges the City of Taylor from any liability or claim that I may have against the City of Taylor with respect to any bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, or property damage that may result from my activities with the COT, whether caused by negligence of the COT or its officers, directors, employees, or agents, or otherwise. 3. I understand that the COT does not assume any responsibility for and has no obligation to provide financial or other assistance, including but not limited to medical, health or disability insurance, in the event of injury or illness. 4. I agree to release and hold harmless the COT from claims of any kind that may arise out of my performance a volunteer. I waive any right of action against the City in consideration of being allowed to serve as a volunteer. 5. I understand and agree to abide by all policies and procedures of the COT and the assigned department relating to the performance of duties and responsibilities assigned to me, including but not limited to policies regarding work place conduct, safety, honesty, and attendance 6. I understand that my assigned activities may include work that may be hazardous to me, including but not limited to: construction, loading and unloading activities, and transportation to and from the work sites. I hereby expressly and specifically assume the risk of injury or harm inherent in any of my assigned activities and release the COT from all liability for injury, illness, death, or property damage resulting from these activities. 7. I understand and agree that, in the course of my participation as a volunteer, I may have access to information or security related items (i.e. keys, combinations, etc.) that are confidential due to security concerns. I understand and acknowledge that I will not disclose this information or any other security-related information to any person without prior approval of my supervisor. I understand that my volunteer assignment will be terminated if I make improper disclosure of this or any other security-related information. 8. I grant the COT, its successors, assigns, and licensees, the perpetual right to photograph, film, use and reproduce, as the City desires, photographs and videotapes taken of me and/or my children during any volunteer activity. I understand that I will not receive any compensation for my participation or my children's participation in the photographs and videotapes and that the COT shall own all right, title, and interest to the photographs and videotapes, including the portions that contain the images and voices of me and/or my children. I certify that I have read and understood the above agreement and agree that my service as a Volunteer with the COT is subject to these terms. This Release of Liability is effective for one year following my signature, unless revoked in writing by either party.

message Please arrive at the City Hall kitchen prior to your volunteer slot to grab a T-Shirt and a safety vest. Sign in and sign a waiver! (The Door is labeled “PIT CREW”). Please enjoy a snack! Take some stickers to hand out!\r\n Go to assigned vehicle entry point (these are the stars on the attached map (1 and 2))\r\n Check-In Vehicles\r\n Pre-Registered: Ask for name, check off spreadsheet, hand a dash card which they can fill out at their parking space\r\n DAY OF REGISTRATION - They hand you $25.00 (you may need to make change) and you have them add their name and signature to a “day of registration” form, and hand them a dash card\r\nTell them to follow the parking attendants \r\nOnce your shift is complete, please bring all cash, spreadsheets, and registration forms to the Pit Crew Rest Area - give to RUBY FISHER ONLY!

message 1 - Please arrive at the City Hall kitchen prior to your volunteer slot to grab a T-Shirt and safety vest. Sign in and sign a waiver! (The Door is labeled “PIT CREW”). Please enjoy a snack! Take some stickers to hand out!\r\n2 - Proceed to your assigned parking lot (1, 2, or 3) and assure only folks with the correct parking pass are using the parking lots (some farmer’s markets vendors will not have parking passes)\r\nFOR PARKING LOT 1 - This parking lot is for ONLY EARLY VOTERS, do not hesitate to turn folks away that are not voting! Feel free to grab a metal folding chair if you need a place to sit!\r\n3 - When your volunteer shift is finished, please return your vest to the Pit Crew Rest Stop and enjoy the rest of the festival!
