About the event

Racing coffins is the best, that's what we think in Manitou Springs! This is the 32nd year of racing coffins up Manitou Avenue in Downtown Manitou Springs. Join us and this family friendly, super fun, macabre event that kicks off each October on the weekend prior to Halloween. Don your costumes and get to Manitou-it's going to be a rolling good time!

About the application

As a Manitou Springs Event Ambassador, your role is to be a friendly, visible presence who welcomes event attendees, observes your surroundings, and reports concerns to event staff or law enforcement. Ambassadors do not enforce laws or physically intervene in incidents. Applicants selected to serve as Manitou Springs Event Ambassadors must complete the required training workshop scheduled at City Hall, 606 Manitou Ave on 10/10/26, including a signed volunteer waiver and release of liability, prior to participating in the event.
