About the event

Join us for Queer Community Day at The Lavender Network—a free, all-ages gathering celebrating LGBTQIA2S+ community, creativity, and connection. Drop in anytime from 4:00–8:00 PM on Saturday, August 29. Explore local artist vendors, enjoy free food, listen to music, and make and experience art in our indoor and outdoor spaces. No ticket or RSVP is required. Indoor restrooms are available. Public parking is available nearby, but space may be limited; carpooling, biking, walking, or Lane Transit District public transportation is encouraged. About the application

Help make Queer Community Day welcoming, joyful, and organized! We are seeking volunteers for setup, welcome and check-in, vendor support, food support, and cleanup. The free, all-ages event takes place Saturday, August 29 from 4:00–8:00 PM at The Lavender Network. Most volunteer shifts are approximately two hours, with setup beginning before the event and cleanup following the 8:00 PM close. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers may work indoors or outdoors and should choose roles that match their access needs and comfort. Free food will be available during the event. Terms & Conditions

By applying to volunteer, the applicant agrees to the following: 1. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers under 18 may be asked to provide parent or guardian contact information and permission. 2. Volunteers should arrive at least 10 minutes before their shift, check in with the volunteer coordinator, and notify the organizers as soon as possible if they cannot attend. 3. Volunteers agree to follow coordinator instructions, remain within their assigned role, ask for help when needed, and immediately report safety or access concerns. 4. This is an all-ages, inclusive event. Volunteers must respect consent, personal space, names, and pronouns. Harassment, discrimination, threats, violence, unsafe conduct, or intoxication while volunteering are not permitted. 5. Volunteers assisting with food must follow organizer instructions for hygiene, allergen awareness, and safe food handling. 6. Volunteers are responsible for personal belongings. Volunteer service is unpaid; free event food is available while supplies last. 7. The organizers may reassign or release a volunteer when necessary for safety, access, conduct, or event operations.
