About the event

Central Carolina Comic Con is a yearly event at the South Carolina State Fairgrounds in Columbia, South Carolina. The show features guests from movies, television, video games, cartoons, anime, music, comics, cosplay, and more. Guests participate in Q&As while fans present panels all weekend. Video game and tabletop tournaments occur throughout the event, while vendors and artists from across the country attend to sell everything from shirts and swords to toys and comics. Our volunteers play a vital role in creating an exciting and memorable experience for attendees, guests, and exhibitors. As a volunteer, you will assist in various event operations, including registration, panel coordination, merchandise booth, crowd management, and more. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and friendly individuals who are passionate about pop culture and live events. Volunteers should be team-oriented, adaptable, and committed to providing excellent service while ensuring the event runs smoothly. By joining our volunteer team, you’ll have the opportunity to gain hands-on event experience, meet fellow fans, and be part of an incredible convention atmosphere. Terms & Conditions

VXV Events Comic Con Volunteer Terms and Conditions By submitting this application to volunteer at VXV Events Comic Con, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions: 1. Eligibility a) Volunteers must be at least 18 years old (or provide parental/guardian consent if under 18). b) Must be able to commit to assigned shifts and responsibilities during the event. c) Prior event or customer service experience is preferred but not required. 2. Volunteer Role & Responsibilities a) Volunteers must perform their assigned tasks responsibly, including but not limited to registration, panel assistance, crowd control, guest services, merchandise sales, and general event support. b) Volunteers are expected to be punctual, professional, and cooperative with staff, fellow volunteers, and attendees. c) Any issues, emergencies, or conflicts should be reported to the Volunteer Coordinator immediately. 3. Code of Conduct a) Volunteers must treat all attendees, guests, exhibitors, and staff with respect and professionalism. b) Any form of harassment, discrimination, or misconduct will result in immediate dismissal from the volunteer team. c) Volunteers must follow all event rules, safety regulations, and instructions provided by VXV Events staff. 4. Dress Code & Identification a) Volunteers must wear the provided event badge and/or uniform while on duty. b) Clothing should be appropriate, comfortable, and adhere to any dress code guidelines provided by the event organizers. 5. Attendance & Commitment a) Volunteers must arrive on time for all scheduled shifts. b) If unable to attend a shift, volunteers must notify the Volunteer Coordinator as soon as possible. c) Failure to show up for assigned shifts without notice may result in removal from the volunteer program. 6. Liability & Safety a) Volunteers acknowledge that they are participating at their own risk and agree to follow all safety protocols. b) VXV Events Comic Con is not responsible for personal belongings lost, stolen, or damaged during the event. c) Volunteers must report any injuries, hazards, or unsafe conditions to event staff immediately. 7. Confidentiality & Media Release a) Volunteers may have access to confidential event information and agree not to disclose or misuse any sensitive details. b) By volunteering, you grant VXV Events the right to use your image, likeness, and name in promotional materials, photos, and videos taken during the event. 8. Termination of Volunteer Agreement a) VXV Events reserves the right to dismiss any volunteer at any time for failure to comply with these terms and conditions. b) Volunteers may withdraw from the program at any time by notifying the Volunteer Coordinator.
