About the event

Join us Downtown for our holiday tradition, the "Holiday Sights and Sounds Parade"! Enjoy floats and performances by local businesses, bands, schools, clubs, and more. A Livermore tradition you don't want to miss! We can't wait to see you all for another fabulous year! 6:00pm Parade start on First Street in Downtown Livermore. Tree Lighting to immediately follow! This is a rain or shine event!! So bundle up, grab some hot cocoa and see you there! Sights & Sounds Parade is a magical evening in the park. Like a Holiday movie, but in real life!

About the application

We’re looking for volunteers to help behind the scenes at the Holiday Sights & Sounds Parade December 5th, 2026, specifically with crowd control and checking-in and lining up parade participants. Volunteer duties are listed in the shift descriptions below. If you’re interested and available to be part of the behind-the-scenes team, please sign up below. Please, if you signup to volunteer be sure you are committed. We depend on our wonderful volunteers to make the event successful. Understandably, things do come up, please let us know asap. Thank you! All volunteers are required to complete the attached Volunteer Waiver prior to the event. You may download and email to admin@livermoredowntown.com prior to event or complete day of when checking in.

message Work as teams to setup pink crowd control tape within parade enclosure. Once this is done, you will be stationed within enclosure to kindly remind the crowd to stay behind the tape.

message "Wranglers" assist with parade participant check-in and/or line-up. Arranging and making sure parade participants are lined up in order.

message Stationed throughout parade enclosure to kindly remind parade viewers to stay behind crowd control tape.
