Terms & Conditions

Volunteer Requirements - Volunteers need to be 18 or older during the full duration of the convention. - If you complete at least 8 full hours of volunteering shifts, you will receive a weekend badge. - Returning volunteers who completed 8 hours of volunteer shifts the year prior will receive a volunteer shirt. - You are expected to uphold all IbashoCon rules and Code of Conduct (see our website for details) - You must check in for your volunteer shift at the Con-Ops room. If you are unable to make your shift or will be late, please call the volunteer contact. Once your shift is complete, check out at Con-Ops to ensure that your hours are accounted for in order to get your badge. - Volunteer badge must be worn for the duration of your volunteer shift. If you would like to cosplay during your shift, please contact the volunteer liaison to get approval. - IbashoCon volunteer shirts may be worn, but are not required. - Volunteers are expected to be respectful and professional for the full duration of their shift. - Volunteers should stay in their assigned area/task for the full duration of their shift unless told otherwise by convention staff/volunteer coordinator. - If an emergency happens, please reach out to staff immediately. - Use respectful language at all times. No profanity. - Usage of electronic devices or cell phones during your shift is prohibited. - While on duty, ensure that you are focused and attentive. - A medical waiver must be completed before the start of the event. This waiver is required to participate as a volunteer. Please note: Not following these guidelines may result in dismissal from your volunteer role and/or loss of hour completion perks. This may also be done based on event staff discretion for other behaviors and actions not explicitly stated in these guidelines.
