PearlPalooza is downtown Albany’s highly anticipated, FREE, all-ages music festival, returning to N Pearl Street for its 17th year in September 2026. Co-produced by WEQX, the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District, and Sugar Productions, the event features a day of musical performances that are free and open to the public.

About the application

Downtown Albany’s free, all-ages music festival, PearlPalooza, returns Saturday, September 12 from 12:00 PM–7:00 PM, presented by Albany Mechanical, and Common Roots Brewing. The festival is co-produced by 102.7 FM WEQX, Sugar Productions, and the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District (BID). The 10th Anniversary edition of YogaPalooza, the Capital Region's only one-day street-wide mass yoga event, takes place at 11:00 AM, just before the music kicks off. As a 501(c)3 non-profit run event, PearlPalooza relies on the amazing contributions of volunteers to ensure everything goes off without a hitch. Terms & Conditions

PearlPalooza Volunteer Waiver, Release of Liability, and Assumption of Risk As a condition of volunteering for PearlPalooza, scheduled for Saturday, September 12, in Albany, New York, I acknowledge and agree to the following: I understand that volunteer activities may include standing and walking for extended periods, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, lifting and carrying materials, assisting with event setup and breakdown, interacting with festival attendees, and performing other duties associated with a large public event. I certify that I am physically capable of participating in these activities and voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation. I understand that participation in volunteer activities may involve risks of personal injury, illness, property damage, or other losses, including but not limited to injuries resulting from slips, trips, falls, weather conditions, physical exertion, equipment use, crowd-related incidents, or the actions of other participants, attendees, vendors, contractors, or members of the public. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release, waive, and discharge the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, sponsors, partners, contractors, vendors, the City of Albany, and all other entities affiliated with the event from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, costs, or causes of action arising out of or related to my participation in PearlPalooza, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct. I understand that emergency medical treatment may be sought on my behalf if deemed necessary and that I am responsible for any costs associated with such treatment. I grant permission to the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District and its designees to photograph, videotape, and otherwise record my likeness, image, voice, and participation during the event and to use such materials for promotional, educational, archival, and other lawful purposes without compensation. I certify that I am at least 18 years of age or, if under 18, that I have obtained permission from my parent or legal guardian to participate and that my parent or legal guardian agrees to these terms on my behalf. By submitting this Volunteer Application, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to the PearlPalooza Volunteer Waiver, Release of Liability, and Assumption of Risk.
