About the event

COMMUNITY DISCO.NIGHT PICNIC. MARKET. A massive concrete floor built for dancing. Our Airstream DJ booth pumping music from the stage. The sun setting behind the hillside just as the music starts. Friends and families picnicking. Small businesses finding customers. A disco full of diverse and friendly faces from across the city. Different nights, but never the same experience. Catch Disco Alfresco every Thursday night in June and July at the Sunken Garden Theater this Summer. Different nights, different vibes.

About the application

Disco Alfresco is San Antonio's outdoor dance gathering 9 years running, thousands of people, one Airstream, and a concrete dance floor under the open sky. This summer we're taking over Sunken Garden Theater at Brackenridge Park for 9 Thursday nights of live DJ sets, themed dance parties, food trucks, and pure community magic. Volunteering with Disco al Fresco is not your average event gig. You're not working a conference or scanning badges at a corporate function. You're part of the crew that makes one of San Antonio's most electric summer experiences come to life! From the moment the gates open to the last song of the night. You'll meet the community, feel the music, and leave every Thursday knowing you were part of something real. If you love good music, good people, and good energy, this is your summer.

Terms & Conditions

Volunteer Terms & Conditions — Disco Alfresco Summer 2026 By submitting this application, you agree to the following: Eligibility. Volunteers must be 19 years of age or older at the time of their scheduled shift. Shifts. Volunteers are assigned to one of two shifts per event night. Shift times and assignments will be communicated in advance. You are expected to arrive on time and stay for the full duration of your assigned shift. Commitment. Showing up is everything. If you need to cancel, notify us at least 48 hours in advance so we can fill your spot. No-shows without notice may be removed from future volunteer opportunities. Perks. Each confirmed volunteer receives 3 complimentary guest tickets plus their own free entry for the event night they work. Tickets are valid for that date only and are non-transferable. Conduct. Volunteers represent Disco Alfresco and are expected to treat all guests, staff, and fellow volunteers with respect. We reserve the right to dismiss any volunteer whose conduct is disruptive or inconsistent with our community values. Nature of Role. Volunteering is unpaid. This is not an employment relationship. Volunteers are not entitled to compensation beyond the stated perks. Photo & Media.
