About the event

Berks Pride Fest is the largest and longest-running LGBTQ+ Pride celebration in Berks County, hosted by Reading Pride Celebration. Since 2006, the festival has brought together thousands of community members and allies for a vibrant day of entertainment, education, advocacy, and connection. Featuring live performances, diverse vendors, food trucks, and community organizations, Berks Pride Fest creates an inclusive, welcoming space that celebrates authenticity, visibility, and pride for all.

Help Make Berks Pride Fest 2026 Unforgettable! Berks Pride Fest is powered by the energy, dedication, and heart of our volunteers. As we celebrate our 20th Anniversary, we’re excited to welcome a team of volunteers who are ready to help create a safe, joyful, and inclusive experience for our entire community. Whether you’re greeting attendees, supporting vendors, assisting with entertainment, or helping behind the scenes, every role plays an important part in making Pride possible. Please review the available volunteer departments and shift options, and sign up where your interests and availability align. Some roles fill quickly, but all are essential — and assignments may be adjusted as needed to support event operations. Our Volunteer Team will follow up with final assignments and details closer to the event. ________________________________________ Volunteer Perks • Free admission to Berks Pride Fest 2026 • 2026 Berks Pride Fest Volunteer T-shirt (for volunteers who sign up by June 24) • Complimentary lunch and soft drinks during your shift • Invitation to our Volunteer Appreciation Picnic (details to follow) ________________________________________ Shift Overview • Set-Up: Begins early morning (approx. 6:30 AM) • Festival Shifts: Late morning through early evening (exact times vary by role) • Tear-Down: Begins after festival close Pre-event volunteer opportunities are also available in the days leading up to the festival. ________________________________________ Important Notes • Volunteers must be at least 14 years old • Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also volunteering • Some roles have additional requirements (see department descriptions) • All volunteers are required to review and sign the official waiver prior to the event • Volunteers are expected to support a safe, inclusive, and all-ages environment
