About the application

The City of Pittsburg is seeking friendly, dependable volunteers to help make the Power Wheel Patriotic Parade a fun, safe, and memorable experience for our youngest community members! This children‑focused parade is designed for kids ages 0–8, and volunteers play a key role in ensuring a smooth, enjoyable event for participating families. Volunteer Responsibilities May Include: -Assisting with participant check‑in and lineup -Helping guide families along the parade route -Supporting safety and crowd flow -Distributing participant giveaways (while supplies last) -Assisting with setup and breakdown before and after the parade -Providing general event support as needed Volunteer Expectations: -Volunteers must be friendly, patient, and comfortable working around young children -Volunteers should arrive on time and remain for their scheduled shift -Volunteers must follow all City of Pittsburg event policies and safety guidelines -Some roles may require standing or walking for extended periods Why Volunteer? -Support a fun, family‑friendly community celebration. -Help create a positive Independence Day experience for local children. -Earn community service hours (if applicable). -Be part of a joyful tradition celebrating patriotism and togetherness. Volunteers are essential to the success of this event, and we appreciate your time and commitment to helping our community shine.

By submitting this volunteer application, I acknowledge that my participation in the Power Wheel Patriotic Parade is voluntary and uncompensated, and I agree to follow all event rules, safety guidelines, and instructions provided by the City of Pittsburg and event staff. I assume all risks associated with volunteering and agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the City of Pittsburg, its officers, employees, volunteers, and partners from any claims or damages arising from my participation, except where prohibited by law. I understand that volunteer assignments may be modified or revoked at the City’s discretion and that volunteers may be dismissed for unsafe or inappropriate conduct. I also grant permission for photographs or video taken during the event to be used for City promotional or informational purposes.
