About the event

The Biggest Fat Convention on the West Coast is kicking off their 4th annual event, and we want YOU to be a part of it! With hours of programming, amazing keynote speakers, a fashion show, a Marketplace and more all geared towards generating Fat Joy and building a Fat Community, you absolutely don't want to miss out on the action!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Fat Con 2027! As a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to be an integral part of our event and contribute to its success. Your dedication and hard work will help ensure that our attendees have a memorable and enjoyable experience. Terms & Conditions

As a volunteer, you will have the chance to attend convention events and panels outside of your scheduled volunteer shifts. The majority of shifts will take place at the King Street Ballroom & Embassy Suites - 255 S King St, Seattle, WA 98104 Our volunteer positions are open to anyone, no one will be turned away based on race, gender, body size, disability status, age, or sexual orientation. You are able to sign up for either a 6 or 12 hour trade agreement. If you do 12 volunteer hours, we will be able to provide you with a $0 badge. For 6 volunteer hours, we will be able to provide you with a $100 badge. You will not be able to sign up for more than 16 hour or less than 6 hours. All shifts will be a maximum of 2 hours in length. The available departments to volunteer with (and some of the available roles) are: Attendee & Volunteer Services - Concierge Desk, Recovery Team, Vending Hall, Merchandise Table, Registration Desk Marketing - Social Media Assistant, Digital Content Assistant Operations - Load In, Load Out, Transportation Programming - Panel Monitors, Ushers, Green Room Attendants, VIP Attendants, Event Attendants Cross-Team - Runners, Director Assistance Please read the following policies, you will be asked to agree to them as part of this application.
