Silver Pride: "Honoring Our Past, Celebrating Our Future,” celebrating LGBTQ+ older adults in our community. We will celebrate our senior members of the LGBTQ+ community, and this FREE event will feature live music, vendors, food options, and more from community partners.

About the application

We are looking for 30 volunteers to support Silver Pride in pre-event setup (Friday evening), daytime shifts (1), and an evening breakdown crew. Venue Preparation: Set the stage for an unforgettable event by helping with venue setup and decoration. Check-in Assistants: Be the welcoming face of Project Pride SRQ by assisting with guest check-ins and providing warm greetings. Ambassadors: Guide and accompany guests throughout the afternoon, ensuring they have a seamless and enjoyable experience. Closing Crew: Help wrap up the event by assisting with closing activities and ensuring the venue is left in pristine condition.

Volunteer Release and Waiver of Liability By submitting this application, I acknowledge and agree to the following: I am voluntarily participating as a volunteer for Project PRIDE SRQ (“PPSRQ”). I understand that my role is strictly voluntary and that I will not receive compensation, wages, or employee benefits of any kind for my service. I understand that volunteer activities may involve certain inherent risks, including but not limited to lifting, bending, carrying materials, standing for extended periods, walking, and other event-related activities. I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless PPSRQ, its directors, officers, employees, agents, volunteers, successors, and assigns from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or related to my volunteer participation, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, death, or property damage, except to the extent caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct. I understand that PPSRQ does not provide medical, health, disability, or other insurance coverage for volunteers, and I am responsible for my own insurance coverage, if any. In the event of an emergency, I authorize PPSRQ to secure appropriate first aid or emergency medical treatment for me if needed, and I understand that I am solely responsible for any costs related to such care. I grant PPSRQ permission to use photographs, video, and audio recordings taken of me during volunteer activities for promotional, marketing, educational, and related nonprofit purposes without compensation. I certify that I am physically able to participate in volunteer activities. If I have any medical condition or limitation that may affect my ability to volunteer safely, I will notify PPSRQ in advance. I understand that this waiver is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. If any portion is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. By agreeing to this waiver, I confirm that I have read it, understand it, and voluntarily accept its terms.
