About the event

Motor City Pride Festival and Parade The mission of Motor City Pride is: Through the festival and other community events, Motor City Pride works toward our vision of a society characterized by a strong commitment to universal human rights as well as safe communities, workplaces, and schools.Motor City Pride takes our mission seriously. Thus, we only seek involvement from those participants who affirm and support our message: The Pride celebration commemorates and continues the fight against discrimination and the struggle for equality for LGBTQ+ persons and their families. Because we create a safe and welcoming environment for all individuals, we ask all participants to acknowledge that they individually, and the business/organization they represent, to support our mission and the message above when providing an authorized signature on all contracts and registration forms.

About the application

Thank you for your interest in assisting with Motor City Pride! Our greatest needs are Sunday Parade, Sunday tear-down, and Sunday evening beverage. Volunteers play an important role in making the festival happen for our community. Please review the options below on being a volunteer. Once you have reviewed it, you may select the times and area that you would like to work. If you are bringing another person to volunteer, please make sure you each sign up individually.

Terms & Conditions

Please only select the times and areas that you are interested and available to assist. When you arrive at the volunteer check-in, you will receive a weekend pass wristband. At the end of each 4 hour shift worked, you will receive meal tickets that can be spent at any of the vendors (except Sunday Tear-Down, since vendors will be closed). If you are signing up for shifts in multiple departments (for example, working Volunteer and Hospitality Services in the morning and Beverage in the afternoon), please ensure your shift times do not overlap! Must be at least 16 years old to volunteer, and must be at least 21 years old to work on the Beverage Staff
