Carolina Kitty Con – Volunteer Terms & Conditions
1. Volunteer Role and Responsibilities
Volunteers agree to perform assigned duties as directed by Carolina Kitty Con staff.
Volunteers are expected to represent Carolina Kitty Con in a positive, friendly, and professional manner at all times.
Volunteers must adhere to all event rules and regulations, including those related to attendee conduct, animal safety, and venue policies.
Volunteers will arrive on time for scheduled shifts and remain for the full duration of their assigned duties.
Volunteers will maintain confidentiality regarding event operations, rescue partners, special guests, and attendee information.
2. Volunteer Benefits
Volunteers will receive free entry to the event during non-shift hours, a volunteer t-shirt, access to the crew room, and food during scheduled shifts.
Volunteer benefits are subject to change at the discretion of Carolina Kitty Con organizers.
3. Code of Conduct
Volunteers will treat all attendees, vendors, rescue partners, staff, animals, and fellow volunteers with respect and courtesy.
Harassment, discrimination, or any form of inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
Volunteers must not use alcohol or illegal substances while on duty.
Volunteers must not engage in any activity that could endanger themselves, others, or animals.
Volunteers may not operate as vendors during their assigned shifts.
Volunteers may not solicit for personal or business purposes during their shifts.
4. Liability and Release
Volunteers participate at their own risk.
Volunteers release Carolina Kitty Con, its organizers, staff, partners, and volunteers from any liability for personal injury, loss, or damage incurred during volunteer service.
Volunteers are responsible for their personal belongings at all times.
5. Scheduling and Attendance
Volunteers must adhere to their assigned shift schedule.
Any scheduling conflicts or absences must be communicated to the volunteer coordinator as soon as possible.
Failure to complete assigned shifts may result in forfeiture of volunteer benefits.
6. Media and Photography
Volunteers may be photographed or recorded during the event.
Volunteers grant Carolina Kitty Con the right to use photos or recordings for promotional, marketing, and archival purposes.
7. Termination
Carolina Kitty Con organizers reserve the right to terminate a volunteer’s service at any time for violation of these terms, safety concerns, or any behavior deemed inappropriate or disruptive.
8. Agreement
By volunteering for Carolina Kitty Con, volunteers acknowledge they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
Volunteers agree to follow all directions given by the volunteer coordinator and event staff.
9. Changes to Terms and Conditions
Carolina Kitty Con reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Volunteers will be notified of any updates.
