About the application

Thank you for your interest in running a game at the Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo. Our tabletop gaming wouldn’t exist without game referees volunteering their energy and time! Once approved as a game master, you receive a notification message including a link to submit game(s) to our schedule. The deadline for game submissions is March 08, 2026 at midnight. The game room hours of operation during the convention are 3:00 pm – 12:00 am on Friday, 10:00 am – 12:00 am on Saturday, and 11:00 am – 5:00 pm on Sunday. If you use electronic devices during play, be aware that most tables do not have access to electrical outlets. Not all submitted game events may be accepted/scheduled due to a variety of constraints but space availability is the main. Game schedule information and other instructions will be sent 2-3 weeks before the convention. In addition to the fun of playing games and meeting new people, volunteer game referees earn the following benefits based on the number of scheduled (not necessarily submitted) hours: * volunteering 4-7 hours earns a day pass for the day of your event(s), * volunteering 8-11 hours earns two day passes, or * volunteering 12 or more hours earns a full weekend pass! ​There are usually other perks, based on scheduled volunteer hours, included in our volunteer GM packets, but they change yearly so the exact contents aren't known until the convention starts. A convention pass is required to access the convention for your game(s). If you do not earn a pass with your benefits, you are required to purchase one.
