By submitting this volunteer application, you (“Volunteer”) agree to the following terms and conditions as a condition of participation in the 12th Annual Oyster Roast & Bloody Mary Festival 2026 Event (the “Event”).
1. Voluntary Participation
Participation as a volunteer is completely voluntary. Volunteers will not receive compensation, wages, or benefits for their time and efforts.
2. Conduct and Responsibility
Volunteers are expected to:
Arrive on time for assigned shifts.
Follow instructions given by event organizers and coordinators.
Treat all participants, vendors, and fellow volunteers with respect.
Refrain from the use of drugs or alcohol during their shift or while representing the event.
Failure to meet these expectations may result in dismissal from the volunteer role.
3. Assumption of Risk
Volunteers understand that participation may involve physical activity and/or exposure to outdoor conditions. By volunteering, you assume all risks associated with the role, including (but not limited to) minor injuries, slips, trips, falls, or weather-related discomfort.
4. Liability Waiver
By participating, you release and hold harmless the Event organizers, sponsors, venue, and affiliated parties from any and all liability, claims, or demands that may arise from participation, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
5. Confidentiality and Media Consent
Volunteers may have access to confidential information. You agree not to disclose any sensitive event-related information without permission.
By participating, you grant permission for photos or video taken during the event to be used in promotional materials, social media, or future marketing efforts without compensation.
6. Cancellations and No-Shows
If you are unable to attend your shift, you agree to notify the volunteer coordinator as soon as possible. Repeated no-shows may affect eligibility for future volunteer opportunities.
7. Termination
The Event organizers reserve the right to remove any volunteer from their duties at any time for any reason, including but not limited to failure to comply with these terms.
