1. Volunteer Status
All volunteers participate on an unpaid basis and are not considered employees, contractors, or representatives of the festival or its organizers.
Volunteers agree that their participation is voluntary and may be ended at any time by either the volunteer or the event organizers.
2. Responsibilities and Conduct
Volunteers agree to perform assigned duties to the best of their ability and follow all instructions from event coordinators and team leads.
Volunteers must conduct themselves in a respectful, safe, and professional manner toward attendees, performers, fellow volunteers, and staff.
Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate dismissal from the event.
3. Safety and Compliance
Volunteers must follow all safety guidelines provided during orientation or on-site.
Volunteers agree to report any unsafe conditions, injuries, or incidents to event staff immediately.
Volunteers must comply with all local laws, venue rules, and festival policies.
4. Costumes and Props
If a volunteer role involves wearing a costume or using props, volunteers agree to follow all costume guidelines and restrictions for safety and appropriateness.
5. Attendance and Scheduling
Volunteers agree to arrive on time for scheduled shifts and notify the coordinator as soon as possible if they are unable to attend.
Repeated lateness or no‑shows may result in removal from the volunteer roster.
6. Liability and Assumption of Risk
Volunteers understand that participation in a public festival and parade may involve physical activity, crowds, loud environments, and outdoor conditions.
By volunteering, individuals accept these risks and agree not to hold the festival organizers, sponsors, or partners liable for injuries or personal property loss, except where prohibited by law.
7. Media Release
Volunteers grant permission for the festival to use photographs, video, or audio recordings that include their likeness for promotional or archival purposes.
Volunteers who do not wish to be photographed must notify the coordinator in writing before the event.
8. Confidentiality
Volunteers may have access to internal event information. They agree not to share confidential details, including security procedures, private contact information, or internal communications.
9. Dismissal
The festival reserves the right to dismiss any volunteer at any time for behavior or actions that violate these terms, disrupt the event, or pose safety concerns.
10. Agreement
By submitting the volunteer application, the applicant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
