About the event

Dedicated to preserving and sharing Scottish culture, the St. Andrew's Society of Detroit's Annual Highland Games provides an immersive experience in the diaspora of Scotland through athletics, bands, clans, dance, music, and whisky. For more information please go to our HighlandGames.com site.

About the application

NOTE: All volunteers MUST read the "Volunteer Disclaimer Statement" (attached) before completing and confirming their sign-up. Please volunteer for one or more shifts. 1) help us set up before the Cèilidh and Games 2) hold the individual events 3) teardown afterward Also, we WILL be getting Highland Games T-shirts for all our Volunteers.  You can request your T-shirt size when you sign-up. Each person must sign up INDIVIDUALLY with a unique email address. That way we can confirm your time and where you are helping and communicate with you before your sign-ups. Our 177th St. Andrew's Society of Detroit Annual Highland Games would not be successful without all the hard-working volunteers who will make it happen! Thanks in advance for volunteering! Terms & Conditions

As a volunteer at the Annual Highland Games, I understand I am assuming the risk of injury, and holding harmless, the Non-Profit St. Andrew's Society of Detroit, DBA The Annual Highland Games. My volunteer efforts are a donation to the betterment and support of St. Andrew's Society of Detroit, and The Highland Games, and I agree to forgo any Workman’s Compensation benefits that might be available to someone in my volunteer capacity. Should I be injured in any way during my service as a volunteer at the 2026 Annual Highland Games, I agree to waive any rights I may have to litigate or pursue compensation from St. Andrew's Society of Detroit, and The Annual Highland Games. My intent as a volunteer is to assist St. Andrew's Society of Detroit, and The Annual Highland Games, have a successful event, and my benefit will be the financial support that the Non-Profits will obtain from a successful weekend.
