Welcome Back, Volunteer! We’re excited to have you return to the Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo! Your continued support, time, and energy mean the world to us, and we’re grateful to have you as part of the team again. Because you’ve volunteered with us before, you already know how essential our volunteer crew is to the success of the Expo. Your experience, reliability, and familiarity with how things run make a real difference — and we’re thrilled to have your skills back for another year. As always, our goal is to create a fun, respectful, and rewarding volunteer environment where you feel appreciated and empowered. We value your insight — returning volunteers help shape the future of this program, so please continue to share your ideas and feedback. A few reminders as you return: Please check for any updated procedures, policies, or scheduling changes — some things may look a little different this year. Attend any returning-volunteer or role-specific meetings as needed. Reach out if you have questions — no one is “expected to know everything,” even as a veteran volunteer. And of course, have fun! You already know how wild, exciting, and memorable the Expo can be — lean into it and enjoy the ride. Thank you for choosing to come back and make the Expo stronger than ever. Terms & Conditions

I, the undersigned agree to serve as a volunteer at the 2026 Huntsville Comic and Pop Culture Expo (the “Expo”) on the terms of this Volunteer Agreement. This Agreement covers all events and occurrences before, during and after the Expo, including but not limited to set-up and registration prior to, and break-down after the Expo, and all sessions, seminars, meetings, meals and all activities, whether on or off the premises of the Expo location, as well as my travel to and from the Expo (together, “Service Activities”). I represent to the Expo operator that: (i) I understand that I am a volunteer, and not an employee of the Expo and that I will not be paid any money or other item of value for any of my Service Activities; and (ii) I am physically and mentally fit and able to perform the activities assigned to me, with no limitations. If I am a person with a disability volunteering for the event, I certify that I am able to perform the activities assigned to me notwithstanding any disabling condition I may have. I agree that (i) I will abide by all policies and instructions of the Expo; and the Expo may terminate my service as a volunteer at will, at any time, and for any reason, without compensation to me. I also agree that, the Expo will not provide me or my dependents with any worker’s compensation insurance, health insurance, dental or vision insurance, or any medical insurance whatsoever, and that all such insurance shall be my responsibility; and (ii) if I have concerns about my health or ability to participate in Service Activities, or any limitations for such participation, it is my responsibility to discuss any concerns with my physician before participating as a volunteer, and to inform the Expo of any limitations in my ability to participate. I assume the risk of all injuries or illnesses that may occur to me or to my property as part of any Service Activities. I hereby waive any and all claims that I may ever have against the Expo and its owners, officers, employees, agents, sponsors, other volunteers or Expo guests (together, “Expo Participants”), for any reason, including any injury to my person or property that may occur as a result of any Service Activities. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless all Expo Participants for any injury or damage I may cause. If I require emergency medical treatment, I give my permission to licensed medical personnel to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide medicine and medical care to me. I waive any claim I may ever have against any person or entity who renders medical care or treatment to me. I agree to accept full financial responsibility for all care and treatment provided to me. I accept that I am assuming the risk by entering the premises and participating in Expo activities.
