1. Volunteer Role & Expectations
Volunteers are expected to arrive on time for their scheduled shift and check in at the designated volunteer station.
Tasks may include assisting with set-up, tear-down, ticketing, guest assistance, vendor support, clean-up, and other duties as assigned.
Volunteers must follow directions from event coordinators and team leads to ensure a smooth and safe event.
We ask that volunteers bring a positive attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to jump in where needed.
2. Age Requirements
Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Certain roles may have higher age requirements for safety or liability reasons.
3. Safety & Conduct
Safety is our top priority. Volunteers must follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by staff.
Closed-toe shoes are required.
Volunteers should not engage in horseplay, disruptive behavior, or inappropriate language while on duty.
The use of alcohol, drugs, or being under the influence while volunteering is strictly prohibited.
4. Liability Waiver
By volunteering, you acknowledge and agree that:
You are participating voluntarily and at your own risk.
Calera Main Street, the City of Calera, and its representatives are not liable for any injury, illness, or personal property damage that may occur while volunteering.
Volunteers are responsible for their own health and safety during the event.
5. Cancellation & Commitment
If you are unable to make your shift, please notify the volunteer coordinator as soon as possible so adjustments can be made.
Volunteers who fail to show up without notice may not be invited to participate in future events.
6. Termination of Volunteer Service
Calera Main Street reserves the right to remove any volunteer from service at any time if behavior is unsafe, inappropriate, or in violation of these terms.
