About the event

The Floral City Strawberry Festival is held annually the first weekend in March at Floral Park in Floral City. The festival celebrates its tasty name sake with a full weekend of fun that has been a local tradition for generations. The 39th Annual Floral City Strawberry Festival will feature over 200 vendors, food trucks, kid zones, a beer & wine garden, non-stop live entertainment, including the Prince & Princess Strawberry Pageant and ever popular pie eating contests. Admission is $5 for adults, 12 & under are free.

Volunteer Opportunities: Floral City Strawberry Festival – March 8, 2026 Floral Park, 9530 S Parkside Ave., Floral City Join us for a fun-filled day at the 2026 Floral City Strawberry Festival! We have a variety of volunteer roles to suit every interest and availability. Check out the details below and sign up to be part of this berry exciting event! ________________________________________ 1. Vendor Parking Time: 6:30 AM – 9:30 AM Help direct vendors to their assigned parking spots efficiently and safely as they arrive to set up. Volunteers will manage traffic flow and ensure vendors unload quickly to keep the area clear. What to Bring: Comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes, and a bright, friendly attitude! ________________________________________ 2. Festival Parking Time: 8:15 AM – 4:00 PM Assist attendees with parking their vehicles in designated areas, ensuring a smooth and organized flow of traffic throughout the festival. Volunteers will help direct cars, answer parking-related questions, and maintain clear pathways. What to Bring: Comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes, and a friendly, helpful attitude! ________________________________________ 3. Site Management Time: 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Shifts available) Assist with maintaining the festival grounds throughout the day. Tasks include troubleshooting vendor needs, ensuring signage and booths remain organized, and helping with any on-site issues. What to Bring: Comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes, and a problem-solving mindset! ________________________________________ 4. Gates, Beer Garden, Chamber Information Tent, Strawberry Flat Sales, Strawberry Shortcake Sales, Strawberry Flats Runner Time: 8:15 AM – 4:00 PM (Two Shifts Available) • Morning Shift: 8:15 AM – 1:00 PM • Afternoon Shift: 12:30 PM – 4:00 PM Roles Include: • Gates: Greet attendees, collect tickets, and provide directions. • Beer Garden: Check IDs, manage wristbands, and assist with general operations (must be 21+). • Chamber Information Tent: Share event details and assist guests with questions. • Strawberry Flat Sales & Shortcake Sales: Help sell delicious strawberries and strawberry shortcakes to festival-goers! • Strawberry Flats Runner: Replenish strawberry flats to the sales booth throughout the day. What to Bring: Comfortable attire, a friendly attitude, and readiness to interact with festival attendees! Group Assignments: • Gate 1 – Chamber Ambassadors • Gate 2 – Crystal River Main Street • Gate 3 – Leadership Citrus • Gate 4 – Business Women’s Alliance • Beer Garden – Young Professionals • Chamber Information Tent • Strawberry Shortcake Sales – Inverness Rotary • Strawberry Flat Sales – Capital City Bank • Strawberry Flats Runner • Auditorium – Citrus County Blessings • What to Bring: Comfortable attire, a friendly attitude, and readiness to interact with festival attendees! ________________________________________ 5. Pie Eating Contest Volunteers Time: 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM Help coordinate the Pie Eating Contest by managing participant sign-ups, setting up the contest area, and assisting with cleanup after the fun! What to Bring: A sense of humor and willingness to get a little messy! ? ________________________________________ 6. Trash Pick-Up Time: 8:15 AM – 6:00 PM (Shifts available) Help keep the festival grounds clean and inviting by emptying trash bins and ensuring common areas stay tidy. This is a critical role in maintaining the festival’s friendly atmosphere! What to Bring: Comfortable clothes, gloves (if you have them), and a can-do attitude! ________________________________________ 7. Festival Breakdown Help us wrap up the 2026 Floral City Strawberry Festival with a morning of giving back! We’re looking for dedicated volunteers to assist with post-event clean-up to restore Floral Park to its beautiful condition. ________________________________________ Duties Include: • Removing leftover trash and debris from festival grounds • Taking down signs, banners, and decorations • Breaking down tents, tables, and chairs • Assisting with loading equipment and materials for transport • Performing general park clean-up tasks to ensure the space is left spotless Ready to Sign Up? Terms & Conditions

Admission Facts and Information Admission: Admission is $5.00 for adults, 12 and under are free! See attached for passes accepted for free admission. Chamber Information Tent: The Chamber Info Tent is located to the right of the Strawberry Shortcake Tent ~ Northeast end of the park Radios: Radios are located at each gate. When using, please identify which gate you are calling from and the person you need to speak to. If unsure, address the Chamber Info Tent. Please be sure to use Channel 16 for the Chamber. Wrist Bands: All paid festival goers must have their a wristband. Red for Saturday and Green for Sunday. Collections: Bank runners will collect money on an hourly basis. If you need change ahead of time please call for a “RUNNER” before you run out. Try to “look ahead” and let the bank know via the radio. Buses: The bus shuttle will drop people off and pick them up at Gate 4, located in the north east parking lot by the playground. There is no extra cost to ride the bus! Saturday (8:30 am—6:00 pm): Citrus County Auditorium 3610 S. Florida Avenue, Inverness, FL 34450 Sunday (8:30 am—5:00 pm): Citrus County Speedway 3600 S. Florida Avenue, Inverness, FL 34450 Duval-Metz House Tour (Bus Route): Transportation to the Duval-Metz House from the Strawberry Festival will run 12:00 pm—4:00 pm, both Saturday and Sunday, and will pick-up/drop off from Gate 4. Programs/Festival Tabs: will be at each gate. These newspapers will have a complete map and detailed information regarding the entire festival. Please hand them out! :) Volunteers: All volunteers are to wear Green (BAM) (Nature) wristbands. If someone approaches the gate and states that they are a volunteer for the festival, they must contact the group they are volunteering for and make arrangements to get wristbands from/through them. Princess Pageant: The Princess Pageant begins at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 7. Pageant one parent and the participant’s do not pay for festival entry. When participants arrive, they are to report directly to the pageant table located by the main stage. THERE WILL BE NO SIGN UPS AT THE FESTIVAL. Pie Eating Contest: The pie eating contests will be held on Saturday and Sunday. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. each day at the Chamber Info tent and the contest begins at 1 p.m. each day. The pie eating contest is held by the strawberry shortcake booth on the north east side of the park. Strawberry Flat Sales: Strawberry flats will be sold at Gate 2, Gate 3 and the shuttle bus drop off/pick up at the Citrus County Auditorium/ Speedway and the flats tent inside the park. The money collected for the sale of the flats is to be kept separate from the money collected for admission. A separate money box has been provided for the flat sales. Berry runners will stock and replenish strawberry flats as needed. Please do not wait to run out before requesting a berry delivery! Vendors: Vendors have been provided with Green (BAM) (Nature) wrist bands. Many vendors use volunteers to run their booths and may not have been given a wristband in advance. If someone comes to the gate and states that they are volunteering for a vendor, please ask them which vendor they are with, confirm that the vendor is on the list, give them a Green wristband and let them in at no-charge. Half Flat: $10.00 Full Flat: $19.00 Shortcakes: $7.00 Beer $5.00 Wine /Seltzer/ Sangria $6.00 Thank you for volunteering for the 2026 Floral City Strawberry Festival!!!
