About the event

The City of Katy is gearing up for a festive celebration of its rich history and cultural heritage! Join us for a weekend packed with family fun and community spirit at the newly redesigned Historic Town Square in front of Katy City Hall. This event, benefiting the Rotary Club of Katy, promises something for everyone, with 100% of net proceeds going back into our beloved Katy Community through scholarships, nonprofit organizations, and charities. Friday, October 10th will be designated for vendor load in, volunteer meetings, and operational run throughs. The Katy Rice Harvest Festival kicks off Saturday, October 11th 10am-10pm & continues Sunday, October 12th 12pm-6pm The event spans two days, overflowing with activities. Explore 100+ vendor booths offering unique crafted items, indulge in delicious treats from food trucks, and enjoy live music performances. Our carnival returns this year! Dance the night away in front of the main stage or quench your thirst in our beer garden, visit the agriculture adventure area with the family, experience the exhibits and toddler zone. Young or old there’s something for everyone. The newly reimagined festival will feature fantastic opportunities to discover new shops & revisit some of your favorites, savor culinary delights, and forge new connections within our vibrant community. Parking is made easy with new routes, ample space, and free shuttle service to and from the Merrell Center throughout the festival. We also encourage rideshares and will be offering discounts for those who choose to utilize our rideshare partners! Join us in celebrating Katy's heritage and giving back to the community we all love. We can't wait to see you there!

About the application

Join us at the 2025 Katy Rice Harvest Festival, co-hosted by The City of Katy and the Rotary Club of Katy! We're on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals like you to help us ensure the success of this community event. Volunteers MUST be 16 years of age or older. Mark your calendars from October 11th to October 12th for a variety of volunteering opportunities tailored to your schedule. Whether you prefer a morning, afternoon, or evening shift, there's a slot just right for you! Remember, each individual must apply separately. We kindly request not to register multiple individuals under one account. Let's make this festival a memorable experience together!

By participating as a volunteer, you agree to release and hold harmless the City of Katy, its officers, employees, and assigns from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses that may arise. You also commit to adhering to the rules and procedures set forth by the City of Katy to the best of your ability. It is understood that volunteer services provided to the City of Katy are voluntary and without expectation of remuneration or monetary gain. Furthermore, you acknowledge that volunteers are responsible for their own insurance coverage, including medical, automobile, and liability insurance, as well as any other necessary coverage. Volunteers are not covered by City insurance, including Worker's Compensation. You certify that you are physically capable of performing the duties for which you have volunteered.
