By joining the crew as a volunteer for Pirate Fest, ye agree to the following terms and conditions. All hands on deck must follow these rules to ensure a safe and swashbuckling good time for all!
Commitment to Duty:
Volunteers must arrive on time for their scheduled shift(s) and check in at the designated volunteer station. If ye can't make it, give notice at least 48 hours in advance—don’t abandon ship!
Conduct Fit for a Pirate (But a Friendly One!):
Volunteers are expected to act respectfully and responsibly at all times. This is a family-friendly event, so no roughhousing, foul language, or unruly behavior—save it for the high seas.
Dress Code:
Costumes are highly encouraged (pirate hats, eye patches, and striped shirts welcome!), but must be appropriate for a public, all-ages event. Closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are required.
Duties & Roles:
Volunteers will be assigned tasks such as assisting with games, crafts, information booths, set-up, clean-up, and more. Flexibility is key—ye may be asked to switch roles based on event needs.
Age Requirements:
Volunteers under the age of 18 must have parent or guardian permission, and some roles may require adult supervision.
Training & Briefings:
Some roles may require a brief orientation or training before the event. Volunteers must attend any required meetings to ensure smooth sailing.
Safety First:
All volunteers must follow event safety guidelines. If you see anything suspicious or unsafe, report it to an event captain (staff member) immediately.
Media Release:
By volunteering, ye grant permission for yer image or likeness to be used in photos, video, or promotional materials related to Pirate Fest.
Liability:
Volunteers understand they are participating at their own risk. Pirate Fest and its organizers are not liable for injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings during the event.
Dismissal from Duty:
Any volunteer failing to follow the above rules, or acting inappropriately, may be dismissed from their duties without further notice.
Welcome aboard, matey—we're thrilled to have ye in our crew!
