OC Pride’s Pride 365 Volunteer Program is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact all year long! Whether you're looking to give back, gain experience, or connect with like-minded individuals, we welcome you to join our vibrant team of dedicated volunteers. Volunteering with OC Pride is more than just helping out—it’s about creating safe, inclusive, and empowering spaces for our community. Whether you're interested in assisting with events, supporting outreach efforts, or contributing behind the scenes, there’s a place for you in our program. Volunteer Opportunities Our volunteer opportunities include but are not limited to: Event Support – Assist with planning and executing OC Pride events throughout the year. Community Outreach – Help spread awareness and connect with local organizations, businesses, and LGBTQIA+ allies. Administrative & Support Roles – Provide essential behind-the-scenes assistance with planning, communications, and more. Fundraising & Development – Play a key role in helping OC Pride grow and sustain its mission. Committee Volunteer Roles Looking to take on a leadership role? Consider joining one of our committees: Operations Committee – Support logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site event execution. Parade Committee – Assist with planning and organizing the annual Pride Parade, including participant coordination and route management. Fund Development Committee – Help secure sponsorships, plan fundraising campaigns, and build partnerships to sustain OC Pride. Marketing Committee – Contribute to social media, graphic design, content creation, and promotional campaigns. We provide all volunteers with the necessary training and flexible scheduling to fit your availability. Whether you can commit a few hours a month or want to be deeply involved year-round, we appreciate every contribution. Thank you for your interest in volunteering as a Parade Marcher with OC Pride! We’re thrilled to invite you to march with us as part of the OC Pride Parade Unit during the Long Beach Pride Parade on Sunday, May 18th at 9:30 AM! As a Parade Marcher Volunteer, you’ll walk with pride alongside fellow community members, waving flags, holding banners, and helping us bring bold energy and visibility to one of SoCal’s most vibrant Pride parades. Whether it’s your first time marching or you're a seasoned Pride pro, this is your chance to show up, stand tall, and represent OC Pride in a powerful way. Duties include: Marching in the Long Beach Pride Parade with the OC Pride Parade Unit Waving flags, carrying signage, and energizing the crowd with your enthusiasm Following directions from OC Pride parade leads and staff Helping ensure a fun, safe, and inclusive experience for all participants Terms & Conditions 1. Conduct & Expectations Volunteers must treat fellow marchers, staff, and spectators with kindness, respect, and inclusion Inappropriate behavior or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated You’re expected to arrive on time and stay for the duration of the parade 2. Safety & Liability Volunteers participate at their own risk OC Pride and its affiliates are not liable for personal injury, loss, or damages except in cases of gross negligence 3. Media Release By volunteering, you consent to your image being used in OC Pride promotional photos and videos unless you request otherwise in writing before the event 4. Terms & Conditions

By submitting this application to become a Pride 365 Volunteer with Orange County LGBT Pride (OC Pride), you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions: 1. Volunteer Expectations 1.1 Commitment & Conduct Volunteers are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, professional, and inclusive manner that aligns with OC Pride’s mission and values. All volunteers must treat attendees, fellow volunteers, staff, vendors, and community partners with courtesy and respect. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate dismissal from the program. 1.2 Attendance & Communication Volunteering is a commitment. If selected, you agree to arrive on time, complete your scheduled shift(s), and communicate in advance with the Volunteer Coordinator if your availability changes. Volunteers are encouraged to participate in at least one event per quarter, though participation is flexible. Repeated no-shows or lack of communication may result in removal from the Pride 365 Volunteer Program. 2. Scope of Duties 2.1 Event Support & Roles Volunteers may assist with OC Pride’s year-round events, outreach initiatives, fundraising activities, and community programs. Duties may include: greeting guests, manning information tables, assisting with registration, event setup and breakdown, hospitality, community engagement, and administrative support. 2.2 Training & Instructions Volunteers agree to participate in any required training (in-person or virtual) and follow all guidelines and instructions provided by OC Pride staff or designated event leads. 3. Safety, Liability & Perks 3.1 Safety & Liability Waiver Volunteers must follow all safety protocols during their shifts. By participating, you agree to release and hold harmless OC Pride, its affiliates, sponsors, and host venues from liability for personal injury, loss, or damage, except in the case of gross negligence. 3.2 Festival Ticket Benefit Volunteers will receive one (1) complimentary general admission ticket to the 2025 OC Pride Festival for each full shift completed (minimum 3 consecutive hours) at any OC Pride event throughout the year. Tickets are non-transferable, have no cash value, and will be distributed via email prior to the Festival once shift participation is verified. Volunteers must check in and out with the designated event lead to receive credit for their shift. 4. Confidentiality & Media Release 4.1 Confidentiality Agreement Volunteers may have access to private or sensitive information about OC Pride’s operations or event participants. All non-public information must remain confidential. 4.2 Media & Photography Release By volunteering, you consent to the use of your image or likeness in event photography, videography, and promotional materials unless you notify the Volunteer Coordinator in writing prior to the event. 5. Eligibility, Minors & Dismissal 5.1 Minors Volunteers under 18 must have written parental or guardian consent. Age-appropriate tasks will be assigned accordingly. 5.2 Dismissal & Code of Conduct OC Pride reserves the right to remove any volunteer from their role or the program for failure to meet conduct expectations, noncompliance with event instructions, repeated no-shows, or any behavior inconsistent with our mission and values. 6. Agreement & Acceptance By submitting this application, I confirm that: ✅ I have read, understood, and agree to abide by the OC Pride 365 Volunteer Program Terms & Conditions. ✅ I understand that this is an unpaid position and I am offering my time and services voluntarily. ✅ I understand that I may be required to attend training and comply with all event guidelines during my volunteer service.
