About the event

Join us for a free, family friendly, community event! Learn about East Wenatchee's aviation history, check out some amazing airplanes, grab some lunch from our delicious food vendors, have your face painted, visit our exhibitors, and have fun learning with their exciting aviation and Japanese activities! On October 3, 1931, Clyde Pangborn and Hugh Herndon left Sabishiro Beach in Misawa, Japan, to fly Miss Veedol across the ocean in the first non-stop, transPacific flight. After 41 hours in the air, Miss Veedol crash landed on the bluffs above East Wenatchee. The Wenatchee Valley has been connected to Misawa and the aviation world ever since and Pangborn's Festival of Flight was created to celebrate this historic event.

A multitude of duties will be needed. The primary responsibilities will be keeping people from wandering into unsafe, unsecured areas, removing trash and foreign objects (FOD) from the ramp area, monitoring the gate, and performing teardown and clean-up at the end of the event.
Morning Set-Up Festival Day	Pangborn GA Terminal Area	Jun 21, 2025 6:00 am - 8:00 am	3	2
Set-up of tables/chairs, guiding exhibitors and vendors to selected areas, placement of stanchions, cones, garbage cans, etc. Other duties as assigned.
Afternoon Teardown Festival Day	Pangborn GA Terminal Area	Jun 21, 2025 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm	3	2
Tear down and clean up the entire ramp and hangar area of FOD, including tables/chairs, garbage cans, etc. Other duties as assigned.
