By submitting this application to become a Pride 365 Volunteer with Orange County LGBT Pride (OC Pride), you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Volunteer Expectations
1.1 Commitment & Conduct
Volunteers are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, professional, and inclusive manner that aligns with OC Pride’s mission and values.
All volunteers must treat attendees, fellow volunteers, staff, vendors, and community partners with courtesy and respect.
Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate dismissal from the program.
1.2 Attendance & Communication
Volunteering is a commitment. If selected, you agree to arrive on time, complete your scheduled shift(s), and communicate in advance with the Volunteer Coordinator if your availability changes.
Volunteers are encouraged to participate in at least one event per quarter, though participation is flexible.
Repeated no-shows or lack of communication may result in removal from the Pride 365 Volunteer Program.
2. Scope of Duties
2.1 Event Support & Roles
Volunteers may assist with OC Pride’s year-round events, outreach initiatives, fundraising activities, and community programs.
Duties may include: greeting guests, manning information tables, assisting with registration, event setup and breakdown, hospitality, community engagement, and administrative support.
2.2 Training & Instructions
Volunteers agree to participate in any required training (in-person or virtual) and follow all guidelines and instructions provided by OC Pride staff or designated event leads.
3. Safety, Liability & Perks
3.1 Safety & Liability Waiver
Volunteers must follow all safety protocols during their shifts.
By participating, you agree to release and hold harmless OC Pride, its affiliates, sponsors, and host venues from liability for personal injury, loss, or damage, except in the case of gross negligence.
3.2 Festival Ticket Benefit
Volunteers will receive one (1) complimentary general admission ticket to the 2025 OC Pride Festival for each full shift completed (minimum 3 consecutive hours) at any OC Pride event throughout the year.
Tickets are non-transferable, have no cash value, and will be distributed via email prior to the Festival once shift participation is verified.
Volunteers must check in and out with the designated event lead to receive credit for their shift.
4. Confidentiality & Media Release
4.1 Confidentiality Agreement
Volunteers may have access to private or sensitive information about OC Pride’s operations or event participants. All non-public information must remain confidential.
4.2 Media & Photography Release
By volunteering, you consent to the use of your image or likeness in event photography, videography, and promotional materials unless you notify the Volunteer Coordinator in writing prior to the event.
5. Eligibility, Minors & Dismissal
5.1 Minors
Volunteers under 18 must have written parental or guardian consent. Age-appropriate tasks will be assigned accordingly.
5.2 Dismissal & Code of Conduct
OC Pride reserves the right to remove any volunteer from their role or the program for failure to meet conduct expectations, noncompliance with event instructions, repeated no-shows, or any behavior inconsistent with our mission and values.
6. Agreement & Acceptance
By submitting this application, I confirm that:
