About the event

Juneteenth, also known as Emancipation Day, is an American holiday celebrated annually on June 19th. The holiday commemorates the day in 1865 when Union Army General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and announced that all enslaved people in Texas were free. Snellville celebrated its first Juneteenth festival on June 19, 2022, on Snellville Towne green. This event was sponsored by City Councilwoman Solange Destang. Sponsorships... booths.... food trucks
