About the application

Are you an artist interested in carrying out an "activation" along Howell Mill Rd during the event (10/29/23)? We're looking for all kinds of artists to help transform the road into an immersive and family friendly destination. In years past there were dance teachers giving Latin dance classes, chalk artists, fortune tellers, metal workers, etc. Please submit for consideration you activation idea and an itemized budget of $2,500 or less. We will select proposals which make the afternoon memorable!

About the event

For a single afternoon, Howell Mill Road and Marietta Street will be open to pedestrians and closed to cars between Trabert Avenue and Northside Drive, including a stretch of 17th Street. Westside Stride will open these 1.5 miles of roads for the community's enjoyment and be the Upper Westside's annual block party!
