Food Truck Application

Participate in the 28th Annual Taste of Marietta Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 11:00am-7:00pm! This fun event, an annual favorite of the community, is designed to promote and showcase the restaurants of Marietta and Cobb County. The festival uses all four sides of the Marietta Square and has had great success! Enclosed is an application for food trucks. Due to excessive demand of the festival, a restaurant selection process is instituted each year. Not all applicants will be chosen. In an effort to allow event-goers the opportunity to “taste” local restaurants, only a certain percentage of businesses without a store-front will be chosen to participate in the festival. Restaurants with a physical location receive priority.

As of 2020, the State of Georgia requires that all mobile food prep vehicles must be permitted by the municipality or county that they are operating in during the event. Once issued, this permit is valid for one calendar year. Food truck/trailer vendors must schedule an inspection through the website www.sagesgov.com/marietta-gaThey must register for an account and then fill out the application for Mobile Food Prep. Once that application is processed, they will be able to schedule a day to bring in their vehicle for an onsite inspection. The Fire Department will contact them to set up a specific time on the scheduled day. No inspections will be completed the day of the event. It is recommended that the inspections be completed several weeks prior to allow time for correcting of issues found during the inspection. Food vendors without a permit will not be allowed to operate. Generators will not be allowed unless listed clearances can be met. This basically limits all generator use to on-board generators on food trucks as 20’ clearance on all sides is not usually possible with the space provided. There are portable power stations that can be charged before the event and provide power where generators are not allowed. Jackery.com is one website has these types of products. The registration fee includes: • Promotional materials and inclusion in festival advertising • Booth banner with your restaurant name on day of festival Each restaurant is required to give a $500 deposit check made out to the Marietta Welcome Center. The deposit check will be returned after the festival as long as the rules and regulations are followed and your area is clean upon check out. PLEASE NOTE: Due to health department requirements, ALL COMPLETED FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY MARCH 17, 2023. Please turn in your application ASAP! There is limited space.
