About the event

An annual festival who's theme is the amazing honeybee and who's focus is highlighting the contributions the honeybee makes to our local and national community. The festival will feature arts/crafts and food vendors along with musical entertainment and activities for all ages. -Only official festival motorized carts and emergency vehicles will be allowed within the festival grounds. -This is a Smoke Free Event! Applicants do not have to be KCBS members to participate!
 
**Please note: We provide one electric service of your choice with your registration. Please specify during registration if you need 20 amp, 30 amp, or 50 amp service. An additional 20 amp service is available at an additional charge under item prices.
 
-TURN IN SCHEDULE: Chicken 12:00 Noon Ribs 12:30 PM Pork 1:00 PM Beef Brisket 1:30 PM *ALL KCBS RULES APPLY*
 
-PAYOUTS: 1st place ($300) in each category, 2nd place ($200) in each category, 3rd place ($150) in each category. 4th place ($125) in each category, 5th place ($100) in each category, Grand Champion ($1000) and Reserve Grand Champion ($500).
 
Friday evening Unsanctioned Steak Competition winner will receive $100 cash (plus prize to be announced).

TERMS & CONDITIONS

CANCELATION POLICY - Cancelations are allowed on the following schedule, regardless of reason:
-Cancelation on or before April 15, 2023 – 100% refund of any and all paid entry fees.
-Cancelation from April 16 to May 1, 2023 – 50% refund of any and all paid entry fees.
-Cancelation from May 2 to May 15, 2023 – 25% refund of any and all paid entry fees.
-Cancelation on or after May 16, 2023 – No refund of fees.
 
If I am selected to be a competitor for the 2023 LaFayette HoneyBee Festival BBQ Competition, in consideration of my selection, I release and hold harmless and indemnify the City of LaFayette, its officers, elected officials, employees, agents, servants, and volunteers, from any and all liability, loss, or damage including, but not limited to, personal injury and property damage in connection with the festival, which is caused by me and my agents, servants, and employees. By signature below I confirm that I have read and understand all rules and regulations set forth by the LaFayette Honeybee Festival, Kansas City Barbecue Society, and the Honeybee Festival BBQ Competition, and that I will comply with all rules and regulations.
