About the event

Celebrate Lunar New Year with cultural performances, traditional food, local vendors, and kids’ activities on Saturday, Jan. 21 from 1-4 p.m. at the Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater inside Newtown Park. The City of Johns Creek’s Lunar New Year celebration is a family-friendly event that embraces cultural diversity in our community. Commonly known as the Spring Festival in East Asia, Lunar New Year commemorates the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar. *No pets are allowed at this event.

About the application

We cannot wait to showcase the great food and sweets traditionally celebrated during this great season!
 
Vendor Fee: $150 includes 8' table, 2 chairs
 
Set-up: Saturday, January 21, 2023, 9am (set-up MUST be complete by 12pm)
Tear down: Saturday, January 21, 2023, 4pm
 
Vendor Parking: Parking is available at Newtown Park.

Vendor Fee: $150
Your fee INCLUDES a 8' table, 2 chairs

Electricity Fees:
20AMP - $80 per connection
30AMP - $100 per connection
 
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
If selected, all vendors’ fees must be paid in full by January 11, 2023
Due to the high number of applications, not all applicants will be selected. 
No partial payments will be accepted. 
Any application received after January 11, 2023 will not be considered. 

Fees are non-refundable.
Food vendors will be required to have a certificate of insurance for this event.  
 
You must have their insurance agent mail or email us a Certificate of Insurance (COI) showing current liability insurance coverage before space can be confirmed. The City of Johns Creek must listed as an additional insured. 
The City’s minimum insurance requirements are as follows:

Food vendors should have a minimum of $1 million General Liability coverage.  

A signed waiver must be submitted with the COI. 
 
Fire Marshall Inspection
If you will have open flame cooking, an ABC type fire extinguisher will be required.
 
If you will be frying, a K type fire extinguisher will be required. If you are planning to bring your own tent, you must have a flame-certified tent.
 
Propane cylinders must be secured to prevent being knocked over. Grills must be placed a minimum of ten feet from your tent or adjacent tent. Sufficient room will be provided behind your tent for grilling if you have indicated you will bring a grill.
